Seriously, laughing boy, you want to joke about suicide?

Is that a threat?

It is a question.

There is no evidence there was an actual suicide.

You need to ask Lisa Jones that question. Only about 10% of what Lisa Jones publishes is true or factual. The same can be said of UnsubRocky.

UnsubRocky is angry because he got sucked into a bogus story and bleated his guts out about suicide while everybody else except softcock Grappler was frolicking.

You’ve always been insane irrespective of the fake id you troll in. Now you’ve just proven how ethically bankrupt you are. In fact you’re far worse than ethically bankrupt.

I've noticed throughout this thread you've made
repeated "jokes" about the act of suicide—both
from a standpoint of ignorance, and immaturity,
THIRTEEN posts in total (out of 30).

I see this as an unhealthy obsession.  Maybe you
should seek psychological intervention?

Anyway... suicide is something that should NEVER
be made light of, even in any depersonalised way as
you've done here.

You may well think you've been clever, but in
actuality, you've simply confirmed your lack of
compassion for people suffering from mental
distress beyond their control.

Did you know that last year, more than 3,000
Australians committed suicide—according to the
Australian Institute of Health and Welfare?

If you think this data is fodder for making puerile
jokes, then you really need to grow up; you can't
live as a child forever.

It is not in the public interest to have a privately done suicide reported in the media. The media does not report suicides, due to the (stupid) perception that the reports will just encourage other people to want their 15 minutes of fame.

The only time suicides are reported is when the suicides are done publicly, that the people want some kind of explanation about what happened, but not to judge the act as a suicide. Someone running in front of a truck to end their own life would be reported as an accident.

You are correct!

The Laughter id is a serial shared insane multi nic who is beyond any help.

And as regards the constant questions for further details by the manic nutters who use the Laughter id I’m afraid IT will have to accept that none will be posted online. Those who I trust and do chat to privately from OzPol know who they are and of course they will be told. I will not reveal the name of the individual. To anyone. That’s out of respect for the individual concerned and her family.

The impact of suicide on others is bloody awful! This evening when I broached the subject I immediately sensed my husband’s reaction because it was very tense and to be honest it surprised me to find he was also angry. He doesn’t get angry easily but tonight he was angry and he unleashed on how greedy and selfish this fellow employee was to do what she did. And how this has affected her family and friends etc. After listening to him vent I recommended that he gets some grief and loss counselling. Apparently that has already been arranged and provided for anyone in the workplace who worked/interacted with said colleague. Flowers and other support has now been arranged for her parents and siblings.

The issue for everyone concerned is this : no one knows why. And even more bizarre is that no one saw this coming.

Your own obsession with counting posts indicates you are mentally disturbed.

My dear fellow, you are a crusty old codger with huge piles of baggage and prejudices.

Please seek help.

It might be be easier to just ignore/post over the ethically bankrupt multi troll given it’s (obviously) beyond help.

Cheers and many thanks for your posts in this difficult topic.

Looks like AusGeoff was right about where suicide is at in Australia these days.

A conversation about suicide may well be worth having. 😩

What’s this????

This can’t be right 😳

It is actually correct that the suicide rate is about 10 times the number of murders. Many suicides are of the elderly trying to put an end to their lives under their own terms. In the year 2021, 322 people aged between 18 and 24 committed suicide. That is more than the total number of people murdered in Australia (source).

Quote:
Data provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics shows that the highest age-specific suicide rate for men in 2021 was found in the 85+ age group, recording 36.4 deaths per 100,000 persons. The age specific suicide rate for females aged 85 and over was 8.9 per 100,000 persons.
(source)

It is just a fact in the media that they will report murders and accidents. But they won't report suicides. And suicides outnumber murders 10 to 1.

Looks like you’re right too. I mean when you think about it ... you just don’t hear about specific suicides in the media.

Even now all I’m finding is general data stuff.

Oh and in Australia, the number of suicides each year is higher than the number of Covid19 deaths for a certain age range (15 to 44 yrs old).

It’s effectively a pandemic hiding in plain sight. 😳😩😔

Dear God what an incredible link you’ve provided Rocky.

https://lifeinmind.org.au/about-suicide/priority-populations/older-adults#:~:tex...

👆 I strongly urge others to read this. I had no idea how bad the situation was amongst older people.

According to the World Health Organization, mental health conditions are under-identified and under-reported in older adults. Untreated mental illness can contribute to an increased suicide risk. Low help-seeking behaviours for mental health concerns can impact on these rates, with older adults less likely to seek professional help due to stigma, knowledge of services and available and accessibility.

Risk factors

Factors that increase the risk of suicide amongst older adults living in Australia include:

• Bereavement social isolation
• Losing the ability to live independently
• Sensory impairment and losses (particularly with men)
• Financial difficulty
• Poor physical health and or/chronic pain
• Disease existing mental health conditions.

Meantime our Federal govt is spending billions of dollars on arming Australia against our major trading partner China. Idiots!

UnsubRocky is a hypocrite because you turned the NZ Chinese restaurant attack into an incident worthy of mocking.

Try to keep your head straight.

There was no news of a suicide in a place of employment at the time LJ posted her bogus story, or in the past 7 days.

Therefore, LJ's story was bogus.

So, I go and criticise an axe-wielding maniac. But, that's a problem for you. But, I criticise you for blaming victims of suicide who played no part in the suicide. Oh, but you think that is your right.

Btw, the media does not report suicides. There would have to be a significant public interest in the interest for the media to be allowed to report a suicide.

A suicide in a workplace would be a matter of public interest to people considering being employed by that company.

Even suicides not related to the workplace in any way ?

Someone works for company x and they shoot themself when their wife walks out on them and it is the companies fault ?

Yes. Particularly if the wife has some association with the company.

People with personal non-company grievances are not going to commit suicide at work especially if they like their job or their boss.

Any suicide in a workplace will have some connection with the company.

Who said anything about the suicide being in the workplace ? I would expect that to be a very low number even if it is workplace related. I would be surprised if even 1 in 20 were workplace related and I would think that not one in ten of those that are would occur in the workplace.

100% of suicides reported by LJ happened in the workplace.

Only the Laughter multi shared troll did. No one else. And that’s why the Laughter multi shared troll disappeared from this topic last night AFTER it was pwned and exposed.

Read back and you will see the extensive damage that fake multi shared troll id suffered. It’s why IT is effectively on ignore and/or posted over.
