Oh... I've just read this over my brekky cornflakes...

Victoria's LGAs fly rainbow flag on IDAHOBIT in support of LGBT community.

Quote:
For the first time, a sea of rainbow flags have been raised across
Victoria on the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and
Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).   The Victorian Parliament and all the
state's local government areas have raised the rainbow flag in honour
of the queer community today.

Hmmm... is this wise?  Inflammatory?  Divisive?  Or are people,
like me, ultimately indifferent?

At first I thought Idahobit may've been Bilbo Baggins' long lost sister.

        Wink

Inflammatory? I had to reread that. then i remembered where i was and was less surprised.

I would consider prejudice more inflammatory than acceptance and solidarity, but that's just me.

Oh, and just about every one else under 60.

Fly those flags!

While kids are still killing themselves because they fear persecution for being who they are, i say the more we can do to show we accept them the better. Bring it on.

Coz flying flags on government buildings is the great suicide prevention therapy.

Inflammatory?  Rip it down and burn the shunt!!

What absolute bullshit.

ADDS:-  don't listen to mothra and the tranny suicide kids - it's all lies and has never been the truth, nor have all the stories of persecution.  Just BS spread around social media and when asked virtually zero proof....

I'd expect mothra to want to believe it - that creature is a crusader for anything that goes against the country that feeds here - if it's trendy or utter bullshit - even better.

Well - I'm back mothra - I know who Lefty is hiding as now - and I am in no mood to tolerate fools lightly.

Just their precious little feelings though.

Nobody is actually harmed by a flag being on a building.

Why someone would complain about something like this is just incomprehensible to me.
