"Blood Money."
Jul 14th, 2022 at 6:24pm

Well.....get fuqqed Bruce and Denise Morcombe who have called those who were involved in a Movie about the investigation of a crime similar to that involving Daniel as receiving 'blood money.'

The hypocrisy of these people just astounds me, despite the hordes of ignorant people who support them through their foundation.

Receiving "Blood Money" is an expression used to describe people who seek to benefit personally from some sort of social tragedy, usually involving an awful criminal act directly linked to the deaths of many.

Well, these people, Bruce and Daniel Morcombe have been living of the death of their Son since they established their Foundation which has received large in donations from the public.

Guess where they get money to pay their own bills?

Yep, 'blood money.'

They have suffered sure, and I don't allege otherwise.

But, it has been  19 years since Daniel was killed, and we are still hearing from them as though they have the rights to restrict the 'movie industry' to deaths involving anyone but Daniel Morcombe.  They say those who were involved with the film have taken 'blood money.'

Fuq off.

You should have disappeared off the scene years ago with some dignity.  Instead, you have continually insisted on forcing yourselves into the public arena with hypocritical moral declarations about what others may or may not do following on the murder of your Son while you continue to directly receive real money because of his murder.

You leave me cold.

There's a recently acknowledged psychological condition known as the
"relevance deprivation" syndrome.  It's been diagnosed in people such
as former politicians, actors, sportspeople, victims of crime, news and
media presenters etc.

And I'm guessing this is what Bruce and Denise Morcombe are experiencing
after nineteen years out of the media spotlight.

According to NINE News:

Makers of the movie say the film isn't about what happened to Daniel but
the police who worked to catch his killer.  "It tells the story of the unknown
police professionals who committed years of their lives and their mental
and physical health to resolve this case, and others like it," producers said.

They notified the Morcombe family before the film was made, and omitted
details of the crime itself
.  "Out of our deepest respect for the family, the
name of the victim is never mentioned
in the film and the film does not
depict any details of the murder," a producer said. "Nor is the family represented
in the film in any way."

Read the sanctimonious bastard, dictating what other people may do.  Stuff the arrogant prick.  There was a time I was sympathetic but that lapsed many years ago, and after innumerable episodes of milking the situation (the murder of their Son) by the parents themselves.

If the film makers had offered to give even a small percentage of the taking to the Daniel morcombe foundation I'd bet they would have supported it fully ... blood money is not an issue anymore

This caught my eye today...

Quote:
The movie “The Stranger” is not supported by the Morcombe family. Individuals who make money on a heinous crime are parasites. They are callously disrespectful to Daniel, the DMF and the Morcombe family. We find the making of the movie morally corrupt and cruel. Shame on you.

—Denise Morcombe OAM, 13 July 2022.

I really think that this sort of talk is an overreaction—particularly after nearly
20 years have elapsed.  Apparently the film not once mentions Daniel's name,
the Morecombe family name, nor the killer's name Brett Cowan.

It's basically a fictional account of the police work carried out in the investigation.

There've been numerous films in the past depicting murders and abductions, so
what makes this one any different?  The classic example of course was "Evil Angels"
portraying the Azaria Chamberlain disappearance and her presumption of death.
That film actually depicted and named the Chamberlain family members, and used
actors very specifically made up to look exactly like Lindy and Michael.

Time for Bruce and Denise to move on, stop mourning, and get over the tragedy.
