Looking at buying a shredder for the forest cuttings.

As much as I dislike them, looks like Ozito has the most suitable one.
Ozito Silent Shredder 2400W

Any suggestions?

if you plan on shredding palms, don't. They're to stringy and will jamb almost every time

It can do really brown dried out palm fronds, but I can crushed those with my hands in 5 seconds.

Like I said, anything it can handle, I can compact 10x faster by hand.

From what I have seen I think they would be ok.

Only, overall it may not suit us here.
I can see it being a big heavy thing we use rarely with MUCH noise and really little outcome.

We do 'quiet' gardening in sympathy with the Forest.

How about a small machete?

...

this is too large

Bought a Tramotina Cane Knife

...

It's very good. The real deal, came quite sharp. Has quite good steel.
As good as Sheffield steel, better than german steel, not a good as japanese.

Is more for leaves, twigs and green branches up to 15 - 20mm Dia I guess.
Not so much for dry hard branches.
Really well suited to what I wanted. Ideal.

Made in Brazil, they are one of the worlds cane producer and make pretty good steel
