In Islam, the men own the women. Education would erode this situation and bring Islam into question. And that is why that fellow got 20years in jail in the Islamic kingdom of Saud.

And while we are on the subject of Islam, is Amnesty International, or any of the authorities calling for Taliban war crimes trials? Or is that just for our troops?

Yea well. In last week's news it was reported that a father grabbed his newborn daughter and stabbed her to death

why? Because he wanted a boy

which country?

India

Same week, six or so members of a family here in Australia murdered or attempted to murder a young university student. They all stabbed her

why? because she'd fallen in love with a Christian boy from the same university

the girl had been either promised or married in India -- probably as a child

Media's keeping it quiet. Haven't seen a word about it since
