LITTLE BROWN PAPER BAGS FULL OF MONEY IS VERY COMPELLING.

Especially to the self serving, corrupt, narcissistic, thieves we have ruling our country.

They figure, once they have F#$ked our country, they will have plenty to live elsewhere.

A ridiculous 99 yr lease like the Port of Darwin.... thing is the QLD Govt are well aware of it.

It's decision that needs reversing ... we are being white-anted from within by a levels of Govt - Local, State & Federal.

In this case in WA the Govt is claiming ignorance ... & I call BS on that.

Federal Minister Michael McCormack saying it's all been checked.... yeah right. Angry

We are being sold out ...... greed has no shame.

The island sold to China in the Whitsundays, well the QLD premier said she wasn't across it, there have been a lot of bad feelings and protests about that selloff, The island off WA, an island paradise with iron ore, a deep sea port with a runway and infrastructure, well the WA premier doesn't know anything about it, Daru island to the north sold, port of Darwin sold, China invading our space in the Antarctic going unchecked with a fueling deal at the port of Hobart. We are surrounded.

We are being sold out and ripped off.

Oh, dearie, dearie, me.  The islands are still subject to Australian law, they remain territorially part of Australia.  The Chinese can't hook up some boats and sail them back to China.  It is just an investment.  They put money into Australia's economy, exactly as the the British, the Americans and the Japanese have done in the past.  They expect some return for their investment.  They don't want to stop people visiting their destinations.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

If you knew a 16th of what you claim you know you'd be a genius.

That's exactly what they are doing to the residents of Keswick Is in the Whitsundays.

Daru belongs to Papua New Guinea ... out of Australian control ......

not that, as we are discussing, it makes a difference as to how our state & federal govts are acting in regard to selling off to the Chinese.

They(the CCP) are not to be trusted.

Its the mining rights that had been sold.  Just like every other mines in Australia owned by foreign companies.  In the grand scheme of things, this is only a drop in the ocean in comparison.

Australia is not just being sold off to China, it had been sold off to the world for many decades now, I dont know why you people starting to wake up now because its China.  Well, tell you what, like every other companies in the world, they dont care about Australians or locals, all they care about is money and extraction, and then environmental devastation.

I believe, people like the left and centre had been calling on this practice for a long long time, even on this forum, and yet they fall on deaf ears.   We were being called hippies, or woke inner city dwellers.

I think the right wing politicians in the country should have a big think about our future.

Apparently, according to our respective governments - Australians and  publicly owned corporations are too lazy and stupid to implement their own plans to extract ores, run ports and such, and - incidentally - contribute every cent back into the Australian economy via ownership and taxes.

The short term grab, accompanied by brown paper bags and future 'job' offers at incredible rates of pay etc - are just too much for our poor struggling politicians etc to resist.

If this 'government' was a genuine 'right wing' government, it would be putting the nation first.......

Don't make me laugh.. hilarious when the poorer countries - such as Vietnam and such - enforce a business model that demands 50% local ownership - yet wise and enlightened Australia can only sell everything off and watch while the profits and tax dollars vanish overseas into tax havens.

As for governments doing a Sergeant Schultz - that dog don't hunt.

We desperately need a new party of the people, by the people and for the people...

And those businesses handled by Australians through tax havens Offshore... same-same parasitism and unwillingness to pay their fair share of the load... of course - those very same 'business' people are among the elite who talk down Australia and the way its lazy etc people are so stupid etc... and how they can get someone from Africa for $2 a day to do work for them...

We're gonna need a bigger guillotine...

This was an ongoing problem.  In the mid 2010s, I remember, the NSW farmers were locked in legal battles against giant miners from overseas: Chinese included as well.  And the NSW national party who supposed to be supportive of country people, did not side once with their genuine constituent.   Even Alan Jones was very displeased about it, a very few instance that I actually agree with him.    And of course, the government just blamed it on the Greens and the woke inner city dwellers (for locking up jobs for the country), who has nothing to do what so ever with the approval process.  Go figure.   Angry

Indeed - the current NSW deputy prem is a wop National - his sole interest is in 'development' - not solid things for the country.  WOPs flock to politics for the sweet ride for life.. and his kind have the brains of a gnat and are suited to growing grapes and olives only - not running this country or state.

I seriously can't see why his electorate keeps him on... he does nothing for them, but so many still believe that Nationals are there for them... they are there for themselves.

Might that not be because they aren't paying guests?  Oh, no, that couldn't happen that people illegally build houses and expect other people to support them? Keswick Island is a speck in the ocean.  Who cares? I don't.  The people living there want an easy time of it, living off of other peoples' efforts... Tsk, tsk, Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
