Well spotted.

I hadn't noticed that mark all read is faulty now ... looks like it works ... but if you refresh the page they come back as unread again.

Edit : Not working correctly in Firefox but does work correctly in Chrome?

Makes life interesting!

To view videos - I need to log in on Firefox, to mark all post as read I need to log in via Chrome.  Cheesy

Unread posts (well actually - topics with new posts - "should" show up with a blue "new" marker next to the topic heading.

So "Mark all read" clears off the topic blue marker is all.

No worries.

The issue now seems to be that in Firefox, that mark all read thingy isn't working properly, but at least videos show up in Firefox ... but in Chrome, the mark all read thingy is working but videos don't show up.  Sad

Yeah there is some issue with my Firefox, you can mark them as read but if you refresh the page all the previous unreads show up again,

Just realised you have mentioned this already!

How do you tell if the permanent redirection is on?

I have sorted out the redirects on the PA forum and wiki, so they are all working. If I enter a URL without the s, it automatically redirects to the secure URL.

It takes human intervention in your.site.s apache conf file.

Something like:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} =off
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R]

in the file that ozpol is defined in.

Edit: That would also need the apache mod_rewrite enabled.

I get a "too many redirects" error if I do this.

Code:
RewriteEngine on

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?ozpolitic\.com
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.ozpolitic.com/$1 [R,L]

Using your code exactly does not cause errors, but I am not sure if it is doing anything.

Code:
RewriteEngine on

RewriteCond %{HTTPS} =off
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R]

I got this code from hostgator - have left this in place:

Code:
RewriteEngine on

RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
RewriteRule ^ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]

(in the public_html/.htaccess file)

I cannot see any changes in behaviour, so I am not sure how to tell if it is doing anything.

What I posted will rewrite any http request to https, hopefully that should stop those messages on posting, text boxes, etc and is what I use.
