I have had the same computer for the last several years. My computer has only had a hardware update of doubled RAM chips. Other than that, it feels like I could keep using this computer for the next 10 years. Only recently, my damaged DVD player inside the computer had started reworking to play DVDs again.

When dealing with wifi and modem problems, you should be able to reconnect to the internet with a shutdown and restart of the modem. Whenever there seems to be a long delay of connecting to the internet, I simply call the support services of Telstra and get them to call me back when they can. Normally, the problem is something fairly minor on my end.

Netflix passwords, I had the idea that you could change the passwords upon getting the account. But then again, I do not go for the Netflix services, as I do like to stream for free whatever I want from free streaming services.

I don’t want to be with Telstra but I have to because of the demographics of where I live and only Telstra signal (1 to 2 bars) available.
But, when there’s problems with Telstra.... and I’ve had a few...
so when there’s no problems.... just don’t do anything... change plans etc and there won’t be any stupid issues.

Problems I’ve had... during a storm, a tree branch takes Telstra wire down.... after calls to get technicians out... one does cone out, then nothing...2-3 days later I call again to find out why still no internet or landline....find out technician could only just come put wire back up but not qualified to switch on... so finally another technician comes out to do what was supposed to be done in the first place!

Then the other issue was....100 GB used up in 2 weeks!
So I find I have 3 top ups for free per annum.
Second monthly cycle does the same thing again...100 GB used up in 2weeks!
They offer me to pay more monthly for unlimited.
Oh yeah right!
Daughter gets on phone for 2 hours to say there’s a definite problem with usage as we hardly ever use much monthly GB - maybe 12GB.
Whatever the problem was... maybe someone was hacking into our account? We don’t live near road or neighbours.
So we change password and since then.... no more messages telling me I’ve almost used up my allowance in a short space of time.

Stuffed if I know what happened there.

I bet they know though!

Then the power blackout issue.... no house power seems to effect my mobile service?

I have found that Optus still work during power blackout and I now have an extra phone with an Optus sim/number for emergency, since Telstra service lets me down during power blackout.
I may be lucky to get 1 bar with Optus.... if I stand outside, half way down the driveway...maybe holding a wire coat hanger!  Grin
But that’s better than dead phone service provider.
I ask why does that happen? Their towers are effected by blackouts. Why does Optus work okay then?

Basically.... I have lost faith in what Telstra is or was.

Aussie Broadband is a reseller of Telstra.

You'd be on the exact same network, you nincompoop.

All that changes is the letterhead on your bill.

You really are a silly front bottom.

You’ll notice straight off the bat that Aussie Broadband’s NBN 25 offering is a lot cheaper than Telstra’s. This is because Telstra’s plan has an added-on phone, justifying an additional $6 in spending. Also note that Telstra’s NBN 25 plans only offer 500GB data packages per month, whereas Aussie Broadband’s offering is unlimited. If you’re demanding on your internet you’ll blow through your 500GB limit, so it might be worth thinking about an unlimited data plan instead.

If I watch a movie every night and do general surfing of the internet (such as letting youtube run whilst I play computer games), I could probably get through 200GB downloads per month. I had a terabyte download limit some time back. But, I was scaled back to 500GB. I have only used up 15GB of data for my internet in 10 days. I do not know how anyone can really use up much more than 200GB per month.
