I have a gun in my home in CA.
It’s not anything special. A S&W which is kept away in the drawer and not open carried as per the laws of the State of California.

Not all things about guns are bad.
If someone breaks into my home and threatens us then I am within my rights to defend myself.

Often sitting there and calling 911 doesn’t cut it.

Too much “guns are bad” in this world.
It’s not guns, it’s people.

Now, now you need to give that gun to the police for destruction to save you from an accident. Since you live in an inner city ghetto and may shoot your drug supplier over bad dope you are more likely to kill a friend or loved one. If you are an upstanding citizen and in danger from criminal assault just remember, when seconds count the Police are at the do-nut shop and will be along in about 30 or 40 minutes. One or more of your ungrateful relatives is looking forward to their inheritance. It may be a good thing you don't live in a repressive society like Australia where criminals have Rights when robbing and killing you!
