Socks would LOVE to chase every cat we see on our walks. One day, Socks paying close attention to a cat that lives in a house on a certain corner.

I hear somebody “Yoohoo!” me. Some woman walking homewards with shopping bags in hand.

Seems that cat is “a bully” and has hurt at least one dog.

So I make sure to avoid that corner or navigate it as far from that house as the roads and footpaths allow. Dunno what Socks thinks about that.

While I was staying in the flat attached to sis’ house just before moving here there was an outside cat—it was like Tom and Jerry, cat would disappear in a blur of speed to hide somewhere, Socks after it in high speed pursuit. Never caught the cat, fortunately.
