I think it would be overwhelmingly passed.

People are sick of murderers, paedophiles and violent rapists getting off lightly.
An animal that preys on children has no place in society and should be summarily put down.
Mass rapists, violent murderers know that they will simply be incarcerated in comfort when caught, it is not a suitable punishment.

The victims suffer for life, if they live.
There is no reprieve, no escape, some commit suicide or cannot live normally ever again.
Yet the animal that did this to them gets out in a few years to re-offend, not good enough.

If a crime of violent rape, Pedophelia or deliberate pre-meditated murder, where there is no doubt or question of guilt.
The only logical and civilized answer is to remove them from the society they obviously do not consider themselves a part of.

Do I believe in capitol punishment.

Definitively, and if you believe in something you must have the guts to carry out the deed.
To do otherwise is hypocritical in the extreme.
