I can tell you from experience of being in the ocean in deep water (sitting in a cage) watching sharks from a distance. You can see shapes of the sharks at 50 metres. And you can see the sharks as they are from 20 metres. I think the movie showed that as well.

I thought the movie was quite credible. The scariest shark movie I have every seen.

Sadly, I can't find that clip anymore - but it was far more awesome than Fanning's fight against a shark half the size.

This looks to be the footage. By the looks of the fins that was a fully grown white pointer, they probably both were.

The surfer said one of the sharks just stopped and stared at him for a few seconds YIKES !!!
