The subject has digressed ... ages ago ... to the fact of his position of seniority in the Church & his part in the covering up for & shifting paedophile child abusing priests.

People are hoping that some how he will be bought/held to account for his role in that.

You spoke of the boss of a construction company being responsible for any deaths on site .....

Pell was the Boss of Catholics in Australia.....he can't do a Pontius Pilate & was his hands of responsibility or having knowledge of these criminal actions of priests under his control.

Until the Catholic Church is seen to be taking a more pro-active & serious approach to weeding this secretive covering up culture out of its policy & weeding out the paedophiles in its ranks .... then what has happened in the past will continue.

A crime ... say a murder or a robbery committed in the past & got away with is still a crime now.

Those living & responsible do not deserve to get away with it because it happened in the past.

If that were the case then all the claims made by women of historical rapes/sexual assaults carried out on them as young women & girls should also be left in the past. Don't you think?

how often have you read where people support murderers the nicest guy you could ever meet....

it goes on all the time.. do you condemn those people??????????... do you want them in jail for daring to see that person without fault????...

I have done it myself.... not a murderer but a wife cheater.. and the last person I would have suspected...he fooled us for years.....its not uncommon you know.
