Because they are inadmissible, simple as that.  Do you seriously expect the Law to allow scuttlebutt to become part of evidence in a criminal trial?

Quote:
If you claim you are a lawyer you know the prosecution cannot introduce allegations not proven in court unless the defence introduces the material or they are relevant to the criminal proceedings on trial....

Even if allegations are proven, ie prior convctions, they are not per se admissible in a Trial for a later event.

Quote:
The prosecution more than likely tried to introduce witnesses to tell there story and were rebuffed by the judge....

I'll bet they did not.  These blokes are not armchair Lawyers.  They know it is not possible and to attempt crap like that would leave an indelible stain on their credentials in front of every Trial Judge.

Quote:

Yaddas on the other hand, seems to be on the basis, that Pells a catholic archbishop therefore he could not have done it.

No.

You'd be the only person here who claims not to know what simple English means.

If you want the culprits above Pell, follow the money, cods.

Full marks, to cods.

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes You're easily pleased.

I don't want to hear you bag Muslims anymore

because it seems you're as big a fanatical Catholic.  Roll Eyes

Gnads,

I have lots, and lots of EVIDENCES, against ISLAM.

They are referenced within, and laid out for all to see,    ...in the precepts and in the doctrines of ISLAM and ISLAMIC law.

And here are lots of examples, of the followers of ISLAM engaging in violent behaviour, [which they themselves claim!!!, is] on behalf of their religion.

----- >

THE RELIGION OF PEACE

http://thereligionofpeace.com/

.

Gnads,

If you are going to make AN ACCUSATION against George Pell,
then SORRY,     ...BUT SOMEONE GOT THERE BEFORE YOU!!!!

But, if you have EVIDENCES [against George Pell] which could be presented in a court of law,
THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ?

.....YOU, GREAT BIG, NAME CALLING, BIGOT !!!!      [with no evidences to present, which would stand up, in an Australian court of law].

evidence = = information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.     information used to establish facts in a legal investigation or admissible as testimony in a law court.

bigot = = a person who is prejudiced in their views and intolerant of the opinions of others.    a Gnads.

prejudice = = preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.      unjust behaviour formed on such a basis.

Gnads,

All that i see in youself, is a person who is willing to condemn another human being,
ON THE UNSUBSTANTIATED ACCUSATION of an accuser,
on the basis of having NO SUBSTANTIATING EVIDENCES OF THE WRONGDOING being presented.

You've obviously lost the plot .. I'm not talking about Pells recent trial & appeal.

& even with a dog collar on you couldn't follow a lead

re: your evidences about Islam .... whoopee

do you honestly think your the only one?

Quoting/interpreting what's said in a translated Koran is no big deal.

At the end of the day Yadda my comment was in relation to your blind support of Pell which is sounding no different than Muslims blindly following Islam & supporting everything in the Koran.

If you go back through my posts in this thread you will see that it doesn't take a Sherlock Holmes to know Pell was involved in covering up for & shifting paedo priests.

The title of the thread is "Pell Walks".

It wasn't he's innocent, it wasn't that he has no knowledge of child abusers in the church.

So he has walked from his own personal sexual abuse charges, it was a technicality of the law & the failure of the prosecution to provide evidence beyond reasonable doubt.

That doesn't mean he's innocent of that charge not does it mean that there won't be more fall out for him regarding his mention in the Royal Commission into Institutional Response to Child Sexual Assault.

And anyone who supports people who are some how involved in that are the biggest bigots & hypocrites if they attack Muhammads Islam for it's attitude on child marriage & paedophilia.

Yeah keep sticking up for the good Bishop???

Quote:
The other choirboy, known as Witness J, who gave evidence against Pell in his Victorian county court trial, said in a statement on Tuesday he accepted the high court outcome and that it was hard for such cases to meet the criminal standard of proof.

“Witness J has not at any time instructed me to bring a common law claim for compensation,” his lawyer, Vivian Waller, said.

Last year, lawyers acting for a man who claims he was molested by Pell and horrifically physically abused by staff when he was a ward of the state in the 1970s filed a lawsuit that named the state of Victoria, Pell and the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne as defendants.

This is a mighty triumph for George Pell. Now prepare for a storm of rage from the cardinal's supporters

The 50-year-old man was a resident in St Joseph’s boys’ home in Ballarat from February 1974 to 1978 and says he was abused by Pell and a nun during that period.

Claims against Pell have also been filed by those who claim he failed to prevent their abuse at the hands of other priests. These claims are also denied by Pell.

A man abused by the notorious paedophile Christian Brother Edward “Ted” Dowlan is suing Pell, alleging the cardinal did nothing to protect him.

The man was a student at East Melbourne’s Cathedral College when he was abused by Dowlan, who was first jailed in the 1990s for abusing boys in the 1970s and 1980s.

In a case lodged in the Victoria supreme court, the man alleges Pell knew of Dowlan’s abuse and was involved in moving him from school to school, allowing it to continue.

Pell has faced persistent questions about his actions to stop abuse when he held senior church positions throughout Victoria. The child abuse royal commission made findings relating to Pell and what he knew about abuse occurring by clergy at the time, but these have been heavily redacted because of the criminal proceedings.

The release of the redacted findings is expected in the coming weeks.
