Latest news 3AW.
It's now illegal to go fishing even though you're by yourself and so can't transmit the virus to anyone else.

No it isn't...
You're allowed to for food purposes.

But is that really essential?

No recreation fishermen relies on fishing for daily subsistence.

What has happened in QLD is your state Transport Minister has muddied the waters over the restriction rules & boaties thinks it's ok to go out fishing.

Not thinking that people numbers at boat ramps will see more people than necessary in one place for launching & retrieving.

That Volunteer Marine Rescue Services have shut down or have next to no monitoring...... leaving boaties at risk if they have any problems on the water ..... & risk spreading contagion if they have to be rescued.

Going fishing for amateurs is NOT ESSENTIAL.

It's selfish & indulgent to the whiney bastards who only care about themselves.

STAY THE F*#K HOME.

Have to agree with Gonads here.

Stay home, you selfish bastards.

Yep we've had a simiolar conversation in the canyoning community, Yes, you'd be social distancing, but if you need rescuing you're taking resources up.

Played Golf this morning.  Groups of two only.  There is a part of the course which is quite close to a road.  Bloody Coppers were there, on the road, about to pounce on us as we were getting too close to the group of two playing ahead of us.  I guess they have nothing else to do as there is bugger all traffic on the roads up here.

No-one relies on any one particular source for their food. You could for example grow cabbage in your backyard rather than going shopping. But then it might dawn on you that "not relying on it" is not actually a rational argument.

Do you really think people will have trouble staying more than 1.5m from others at the ramp?

The club shouldn't be open.

Playing golf isn't essential ... the coppers should have booked your arse.

Depends on how many fools decide to go fishing at any one location.

BTW that's only one consideration .... or are you just like Peccar & his selective editing ....

you only selectively read certain bits?

Boats breakdown every day ...... what will be different today?

No one to rescue them or if so it will require putting a group pf people together to go out & rescue people which maybe only 2 but could be the whole family of more.

See the point there or are you fixated on being a pedant?

Oh & thanks to the stupidity of the Transport Minister.

The Club is not open.  The Course is, under very strict restrictions.

Gee, I wonder why they did not 'book my arse' or even get out of their car?

What do you reckon GoNads?

You either old bean.

Are you wishing me dead?

The rational is that the directive says STAY HOME UNLESS YOU ARE DOING THE LISTED EXCEPTIONS.

No, I was trying to get you to turn that rambling into a rational argument.

I think you'll find that exercise is a listed exception.

I think you're being hysterical. Calm down.
Aim your shyte at those idiots hanging out in big groups. The chance of me picking up this virus on one of my fishing expeditions is next to zero. The chance of me getting it at work is higher. The shopping center for groceries....evwn higher. So fishing for me is pretty safe....and my boat is tip top. My outboard is 3yrs old and the design is the most basic engine. MERC 150 four stroke if you want to check. Extremely reliable and serviced all the time.

Yes...my family eats fish. Lots of it.
We don't eat a lot of red meat....meat that requires me to have to go and swan around dickheads in shopping centers pushing past me who possible carry this flu. Exposing myself more to this flu when I'm there...rather than on my own in a boat....MY BOAT.
I don't have to be around anyone when I'm fishing. I fish solo....all the time.
I self isolate every day, before this flu even started. Nothing new to my family......just you lot that have joined us in what I do all the time.....unless I'm working or...you guessed it....fishing. It's what I do and I do it by myself.

Vent your shyte elsewhere dude. You live your way and I'll live mine...and FFS turn off the MSM.
I reckon that's what's got you all worked up.

The courier mail did the same trick yesterday. Photo of people at a market. Keeping their distance from each other. But if you take the photo from just the right angle the morons get upset about it because they can't tell how much distance there is between each person so they confuse it for a mosh pit.

We are edging closer to rule by idiocy, with 'journalists' going tag team with people like Pecca and Gnads.
