Once Fried Bird has gone thay really should fix this. Probably should have 12 months ago.

I don't mind if reasonable dual citizenship were to be allowed where the second country is reasonable and benign as well as Australia being the country of residence for a long time, at least 10 years but more would be better.

If not solving this issue this way the AEC should be made to take their responsibility more seriously and confirm the eligibility of every applicant.

Is a tick box saying I am Australian really sufficient in this case now that we have the evidence that they all lie ?

We have had Greeks Italians English Kiwi's Indonesians Africans several various other europeans including Irish german etc all representing us as being exclusively Australian. WTF.

And they all got away with it for a long long time mostly multiple terms. 90% were fully aware of their position and none of these were fit to be in an Australian parliament for one single day.

To make it worse some of the worst offenders got themselves re elected. Please tell me how voters can be so stupid ?

Did they subsequently inform HER that her citizenship was restored? No.
He was born in Australia, his mother's citizenship was not restored - how could he be a citizen of Hungary? Being eligible to apply for citizenship is not the same as BEING a citizen.
