Respect can only be earned,

It cannot be bought
It cannot be forced
It does not come fro power, position, uniforms, skin colour or religion.

One does not earn respect by stating you are something you are not.
Respect cannot be earned by demanding respect simply because you have a few genes from some almost forgotten culture.

Respect cannot be demanded by using rediculious labels such as racist, homophobe, islamophobe etc etc.

Respect is a rare commodity.
Very few people have earned my respect, and many many more have not.

He gets the respect he deserves... and I don't base my arguments on race at all - just on a claim to a certain status that is not supported. How is it racist to declare that a bogus Indigene is not an Indigene, based on the available evidence??

Countless people have shown where differing observations and interpretations show that Pascoe has exaggerated things, to say the least. Temporary dwellings in areas where there is an ample food supply does not create townships... it's just a matter of convenience, same as every other group in history and pre-history... all animals migrate to and gather in areas where food is available. It's nothing special, given that the West had move into a supply chain which meant people didn't have to live on the land to eat beef and veg.

Same-same 'trade routes' - any wandering group or person will take the line of least resistance, thus the original settlers need not at all have followed the 'traditional' routes used by Aborigines.. purely coincidental, especially in the days of shanks' pony or cart. They were migratory paths - not 'trade routes'.

Seriously, Brian, your obsession with racism needs to be looked at. You see racism in everything...
