Seems Aboriginal 'culture' is gaining a Renaissance.
Especially after the recent Wild Fires where Aboriginal Knowledge is gaining more respect and attention.
While Australian 'Whitey' and Govt methods caused the Wild Fires in the first place.
Yes, yes - we know - repeat ad nauseum the same old unfounded and unproveable assertions... Monday Morning Quarterbacks are always right...
I glimpsed in on Piltdown Pascoe last night - three things struck me before I switched channels...
1) He blithely used 'we' as if he were spokesman for and part of some group which has yet to accept that he is 'one of them'... didn't stop him though.
2) His attempts at wild hair and beard to look 'Indigenous' fail - he looks more Cornish than ever.
3) He - and others - failed to see the incongruity in discussing a 'successful Aboriginal group' - who had adopted the very ways of the White Man who was supposedly holding them back. Even though they were an excellent group and did quite well until ripped off (something that is not restricted to Aboriginals) etc, ONLY by using the White Man's way could they have possibly developed 'statespersons' etc. Lots of ifs and buts.... not much of substance.
When are the DNA results coming in? Still only a vague story heard, or mis-heard, from a distant uncle a long time ago in a faraway galaxy... where's the proof?
BTW - I am more outraged by the treatment of Aboriginal Diggers on their return from Europe in 1919. At least that's supported by hard fact.
