Bruce Pascoe wasn't investigated for an alleged offence - he was never cleared, and it remains in limbo until such time as proof is produced.

Given the civil (or uncivil) standard of preponderance of evidence, it would definitely appear that his claim to be Aboriginal was fraudulent... that evidence being that every Aboriginal group he sought alliance with rejected his claim.

Sounds pretty black and white to me...

Perhaps one of those tribal groups could launch a civil action.... defaming/debasing the group by asserting allegiance/inclusion without merit.. not that I'd put such ideas in their heads, now...

Why not? .... a combined group of different tribal backgrounds used tax payer money to sue Andrew Bolt for defamation because he questioned what makes a person Aboriginal & said today "white is the new black".

No amount of Pascopologetics can change the reality - his claims to Indigenous status were all rejected, thus the balance of probabilities is that he is not Indigenous - and one rule of thumb is that if they lie in one aspect, you cannot trust them with any.

I'd suggest he straighten out his backyard first and then try preaching a new religion to the masses via the sneaky way of finding a safe academic sinecure...

Until he proves his fundamental claim - everything else is fantasy.

Of course that fits well in Modern Fantasy Island - Australia...
