that's not really what they were claiming was it?
I wish I could say "No" but I'd be lying.
Warning: Rant aheadIt ties back to the foundation of mainstream QAnon, Pizzagate, so yes it sadly is.
Those who started QAnon did so to distract from the racial elements of Trump's support base just after the Charlottesville tiki-torch march because it was costing the then-candidate Trump mainstream support. Entitled white boys marching against equality for all races because they feel like they're being oppressed?
All of a sudden the Wall, the racial profiling and all the other terrible things Candidate Trump had said and proposed was painted not in the "America first" light he was trying to use to drown out the downright racism.
Enter QAnon.
A well-crafted conspiracy claiming that even as a candidate, Trump was working against the elites with his 30-year plan culminating in his Presidency to finally remove the satanic, cannibalistic, child rapists from all levels, draining the swamp and revealing the true extent of the abuse that has happened with the mass arrests to come, the revealing of the sealed indictments of all the famous, rich and powerful paedophiles and the declass of information showing how deep they have infected all levels of everything, public and private, PLUS everything else the Government has been hiding (Aliens, Chemtrails, Geo-Engineering, Fake Moon Landings, Flatearth etc).
And it's a great idea because sadly there are always child predators out there and thankfully they've more and more being brought to justice with better law enforcement in general but especially with the focus on cyber and a global reach with Interpol and the like being able to work much better and more quickly to catch these terrible bastards. With all that happening, all one needed to do was simply claim, "that's all thanks to Trump and his plan, MAGA!".
And it was working. But slowly, the racial element has made it back in there. Now the deep state and the elites were controlled or financed by the Rothschilds and Soros reigniting "the Jewish question" and bringing antisemitism and racism back at the forefront of the Trump supporter movement.
But that doesn't matter anymore, his supporters have matured into a cult and nothing Trump does matters. He can take one position, attacking those who've taken the opposite, with his supporters coming down hard on them, and cheering him, then the next day turn it all on his head and take the opposite previously hated stance, and all he gets from his supporters is cheers at his rallies.
So yes, this is exactly what many of Trump supporters who follow the Q movement eventually end up believing.
It's almost like Scientology. You need to be in so deep already, both financially and in terms of brainwashing before you're told the hidden truth about Aliens and Xenu, what Thetans are and how you can't tell anyone because unless they are as prepared as you are (aka, spent the money), hearing this news will cause them to have a mental breakdown or even die.
But not you, you're special.
QAnon supporters think they're special because they know the hidden truth, what the fake news media won't tell you, they're special after all!
QAnon has since changed hands multiple times, from the original creators to those who came after up until 8chan was shut down, to the new operators of 8kun who now continue the larp.
And it's grown more than just racism, antisemitism and the conspiracy theory of the satanic, Canibal paedophiles, now it seems they have different sects, one for every conspiracy theory. It's become a catch-all because those who believe Q doesn't have the critical thinking abilities to avoid falling victim to the cons.
There are flat earth QTards, Chemtrail QTards, Aliens are hidden by the Government QTards, Moon Landing Hoax QTards, Truther QTards, it's become the catch-all for conspiratards these days, they just soak up everything they're told, without a care to fact check, because they're chasing that high, that feeling of being special because the worst part is, the most red-pilled of Q believers, those that refer to Trump as their GEOTUS (God Emperor of the United States) usually lose their families and because more and more isolated with their Research Boards and fellow anons being the only connections they have in their lives.
It's heartbreaking that people can find themselves in these situations but it makes it even harder for them to get out.
So, TLDR, yes, there are 100,000's of people who believe with all their heart and soul, things like the California wildfires and space lasers by the elites. And out of this ever-growing group of people, there are some who care so much about helping these mythical children but yet feel so helpless because the larp can never end, the children are never saved, it needs to continue going on and on to keep the tards in line, they feel helpless.
They feel like the elites are winning.
And being mostly conservatives, they're usually armed to the teeth or at the least have easy access to firearms, and they go from behind their screen to the real world, thinking themselves as doing their God Emperors bidding, deputising themselves into the real world vigilante arm of the Meme Army.
This is what is driving much of the Right-Wing Extremism and thankfully the near-misses like the gunman at Comet Pizza, the home of Pizzagate.
