Most times when Climate change or the Earth getting destroyed or Animal species dying, someone will come up with.
"we are to over populated"
So far I haven't really heard any reasonable ways this can be done.
Yes Yes we can kill the poor or the Muslims or go Mad Max style and let anarchy rule.
None of these ways are realistic.
I use the guideline of" if I want a depopulation would I be willing to support those measures if it involved my own family", would I want to see some of my grandchildren culled for the worlds sake, would I be happy to have no grandchildren.

Education is always the big one that you hear will change things.... will education stop a couple of horney teens from rooting or stop sexual abuse in a war.....
Contraception seems to be the best solution, maybe even putting it in the water of some places like fluoride (although there would be no choice there)
Let the women around the world have free access to contraceptives, that might do it.
We always seam to think of the 3rd world countries when we think of population problem but there are lots of other people in the world, so how about them.
Start to penalize people who have kids instead of rewarding them like we do in Australia.
Was china's solution of 1 child really so bad.

I'm sure there are reasonable ways to reduce the population and id love to hear them.

There are many measures to reduce the population within the law.

lets see here are some,

Cigarettes

Why doesn't the government legislate so tabaco companies have to take out all the chemicals that aren't in natural tabaco, shelf life comes to mind.

Medicine, Pills & Co

After 70 years of age its up to the person whether they want the medication....its law....after 70 you're pretty much on the scrap heap, if you decide no more pills then happy birthday to you.

After 80 if you get hospitalized you're pretty much f@rked....lucky to get out alive, would have to be a strong old fella or gal...they asses and administer whether the patient can take it is another matter.

I should add that if you're lucky to be in the 1% or associated with them or just filthy rich this doesn't apply to you.

but it's true that overpopulation will erode Western lifestyles, including yours, unless you're fortunate to die beforehand and leave the coming mess to your descendants

the planet is the equivalent of a paddock into which the greedy farmer squeezes more.  People in Oz, which has an enviable lifestyle compared to most, are beginning to feel the squeeze
