Ice Age destroyed Abos
Feb 11th, 2019 at 6:06pm

Did the Ice Age 10,000 years ago - destroy what was left of a vibrant Aboriginal culture and peoples??

Bringing 10,000 years long of severe constant DROUGHT conditions to Australia. Was this period too much for the Aboriginals that were beaten down by it and presented to the world, a shadow of its former self?
As far as 'Invasions' go through-out history. The so-called 'invasion' of Australia has to be one of the most farsical events then, in Military history. Besides the first interest of occupation here was to set up a GAOL. I find the Aboriginal claim of Invasion somewhat of an over-reaction stimulated by Americanism and its influence on this part of the world.
If that's the case - maybe its America that is the 'invader' then?

So then, why a systematic 'failing' of Aboriginals in the face of 'other peoples' coming here of their own accord?
Besides a massive 'HEALTH' situation where 75% of them died from 'infection' (40,000 years of sterilisation from the world's ills made them 'fragile').
Aboriginal culture seemed somewhat like butter scrapped too thinly across a large piece of toast.

Maybe long ago they 'lived' here, but up until 10,000 years ago, via the Ice Age... they just 'survived' here.

You must be younger than you seem or you'd know which tribe started getting the Abos riled.  It was said that squads of them, pushed into Law at university and lacking much nous, were stuffed into the Abo litigation movement.  Until then, the Aborigines were placid, received their free money and houses, etc. and did what they did

Then, courtesy of the Get Abos Riled Up movement, cattle prods were employed on the largely apathetic indigenous to kick them into protesting and whining

almost simultaneously, a similar movement driven by the same gang, set to work in New Zealand.  The thrust of it was Blame Whitey

It was more successful in NZ

Then came the Invasion rhetoric, but with the Abos, the placards had to be made for them, they had to be bused-in, fed, draped in Abo flags, etc., and a simple script had to be constantly repeated in their ears to get them to shout it.  Too much effort. Their hearts weren't in it as a rule.  And you can spin an Aborigine's opinion on a pin-head.  Just suggest to them that the white guys are the good guys who gave them what they have today, took those pesky kids from them, raised them and taught them a trade, built these nice cities and parks, invented grog, etc.  And in no time, the Abo will be smiling in ageement. Because it's true, although that's not why they agree.  They agree because by nature, most of them are ambivalent, apathetic, happy to have a drink and lie in the shade

Then and in NZ too, the same scum 'indigenous rights lawyers' began bastardising history -- and to a ridiculous degree.  Such as bulldozing the remains of the tall, fair haired whites and concealing the remains of those same people (who arrived long before the Maori, as the Maori admit) in museum basements or simply destroying them completely.  Those tall, fair haired whites had been on open display in NZ museums for decades.  Then suddenly gone and denials they'd ever existed.  They even told that to people who'd visited those museums and seen those non-Maori remains

Same in Oz.  Remains of Phoenician, Egyptian, Spanish, etc., mines and harbours were bulldozed into dust and when people protested, they were told, via the media, that what had been destroyed were simply 'Aboriginal fish traps'.  it's still there online --- no ancient miners and ship builders were ever in Oz --just Aboriginal fish traps

Some years ago I was in a class and mentioned the skeletons described in a recent book were believed to be Egyptian because of the fineness of their bone-structure for one and secondly, the method of their internment, neither of which bore any resemblance to anything Aboriginal

a guy behind me showed intense interest and after class asked if I'd lend him the book.  I brought it for him a few days later.  Never saw it again, unfortunately.  Ironically, that guy claimed Aboriginality.  He was whiter than I, fair hair, blue eyes --- about 1% Aboriginal if that.  But his fees were paid by the taxpayer, so were his books, expenses, board, etc. There were a stack of ultra-white Aborigines in that place, failing exams without a care, re-doing the same course content the following year in their bandanas and cliques

these days, 'eminent scholars' inform us that those graceful skeletons 'were so Aborigines' and so were the stone-built dwelling ruins, despite Aborigines not being builders of permanent shelters, let alone squared off and in stone

The Tassie Aborigines are said to have lived in caves in Tasmania all through the last Ice Age and last I read (the history moves fast and is constantly subject to change, depending on the agenda) they were a different people entirely to mainland Aborigines.  The Tassie Abos (last I read) were much smaller, had finer bone-structure, different hair type.  They were still there when white settlers arrived and were a tough little people, obviously

Before the history was rewritten by the law school drop-outs, it was said -- and with some authority-- that the Australian Aborigine is a quarter of a million years behind us in evolutionary terms.  Wonder where that history went?  And I've read with my own eyes that their teeth are different and have unique features. True? Or non PC?

JaSin, try to find the works of Keith Windschuttle.  He has written several books telling the truth about the Australian Aborigine, white settlement, etc.

He travelled to the UK and examined books and papers written by the original explorers and founders of Australia -- you'll be surprised by how magnanimous towards the Aborigines those early founders actually were.  And Windschuttle provides it all, chapter and verse.  It's all far different to the crap being peddled to white and Aborigines alike by vested interests

Here's a selection of his writings.  Click on a title to expand
LINK

Check your local library or see if you can arrange an interlibrary loan for his books, because they are eye-wateringly expensive due to the fact he had to establish his own publishing business to get them printed -- because the BS establishment never wanted anyone to read them

You're in luck!  Here's a free read in Pdf format.  LINK.  He's a class writer

There's more online and plenty from his detractors, but ignore them

Windschuttle is hated and constantly defamed in certain circles, particularly those who've worked so HARD for decades to bury the truth, to con the Aborigines and to guilt the public

The whities took pleasure in decimating the Aborigines.

Genocide in Tasmania - throwing babies in the air and catching them on bayonets.

Playing a kind of polo game in NSW by hitting Aboriginal heads along the ground.

No. This is based upon excerpts I've read down through the years. Even mentioned in the Book "World's Biggest Real Estate" which is a good detailed history of Aboriginal Australia Pre-1788.
They didn't have 'links' back then either.  Grin

Thanks PZ547.  Cool

Yes - the Tasmanian Aboriginals were the first 'Sapiens' to arrive into Australia. It took another Mini-Ice Age to allow the Murrayan Wave to flood in.
Because word had got around, that there is a new land abound.
The Murrayans though were almost pushed south by another wave of genetically different Carpentarians who became the 'dominant' wave and covered the majority of the Continent.
After this - Australia got cut off and isolated for a very long time.

I reckon 20,000 years passed before the Negroid Melanesians filtered across Asia to settle into the Sahulian part of the world to form Melanesia.
10,000 years after that - the Mongoloid 'Yellow' tribes started to drift south and just 800 years ago, they sailed into the Polynesian Islands to become Pineapple Polynesians.

While all this happened. I still reckon Hominids were hanging in there, just like Apes were (and they are more primitive remember) and were the First Australians.

The Europeans wiped out the Tasmanian Aborigines.
e.g.

Tasmania's dark history involved dozens of Aboriginal massacres, how should we recognise them?

By Lucy MacDonald

Sunday marked the date of one of the bloodiest days in Tasmania's history, but the anniversary of the Cape Grim massacre — on which about 30 Aboriginal men were killed — passed unknown to most Tasmanians.

On February 10, 1828, during the height of the period known as the Black War (1824–1831), the men were massacred by four Van Diemen's Land (VDL) company shepherds near Cape Grim, in the state's far north-west.

After tensions over a previous killing and stock theft, the shepherds shot the men, threw their bodies from a cliff and fired on their families camped on the beach below.

But for more than 100 years, historian Lyndall Ryan says the true story of the Cape Grim massacre was lost, and myths and lies were left in its place.

The company's initial version of events was very different.

"The company was certainly not willing to make it better known, so they went in for a big cover-up and they acknowledged that three Aboriginal people had been killed," Professor Ryan said.

That version was accepted until 1966, with the publishing of journals written by controversial conciliator George Augustus Robinson, who was involved in the removal of Tasmanian mainland Aboriginal people to Flinders Island.

"He interviewed some of the Aboriginal survivors … and at least two of the perpetrators … they were convict servants working for the company," Professor Ryan said.

"They were quite open about what they did."

By comparing the records of the VDL company with Robinson's journals, historians were able to piece together what happened on that dark day.

Heather Sculthorpe from the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre (TAC) said it was just one of many atrocities.

"The attempted extermination of our people was so almost complete that few of those stories have been handed down," she said.

'Time to change the names'

The cover-up of the Cape Grim massacre left scars and even shaped the name of the landscape.

"The place where our ancestors were runover and killed, that has been named Suicide Bay," Ms Sculthorpe said.

"It wasn't suicide, it was a slaughter, it was a massacre."

The TAC wants the name of Suicide Bay to be changed to its original name, luwuka.

In 2017, the centre submitted 11 new names in palawa kani, the revived Tasmanian Aboriginal language, as dual and replacement names for sites around the state, nine of which are in the north-west.

But the Tasmanian Government has yet to change any of the names.

"One of the main ways to get the general Tasmanian, Australian and world population to know about the history of Aboriginal-white relations on this island, is to get our names for places back in use," Ms Sculthorpe said.

While the bid to change place names plays out, there are mixed views in the Aboriginal community about whether the Cape Grim massacre and others should be formally marked.

It occurs in other parts of the country, such as at Myall Creek in New South Wales.

The TAC commemorated February 10, 2019 in a social media post, but Ms Sculthorpe said she did not think the day itself needed any special recognition.

"We don't have any special event to do it because there are too many of these massacres, these incidents, these killings," she said.

"If we were doing some public ceremony each time then we'd never get anything else done. There's just so much of it."

She also said by focusing on one day, it could "undervalue the significance of all those other people who lost their lives".

State Government called on to recognise massacres
But chief executive of the Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation (CHAC), Dianne Baldock disagreed and called on the State Government to acknowledge the day.

"They acknowledge the events of Port Arthur, so why can't they acknowledge Aboriginal history?" she asked.

Coordinator at CHAC Camilla Woolley believes that should go even further.

"I think they [the Government] should recognise all the major massacres that happened not just in Tasmania, but Australia-wide during that period of time," she said.

CHAC would also like to see some sort of memorial on the site to help educate visitors and encourage reflection.

Cape Grim and the surrounding land is still in the hands of VDL, but the farming enterprise was purchased by Chinese company Moon Lake Investments in 2016.

The company allows Aboriginal people access to traditional sites, once they acquire the correct permissions.

Ms Sculthorpe said she would like to see the Aboriginal community given more resourcing to educate the wider Tasmanian community.

"We don't think it's a job for the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs to educate the people," she said.

"It should be our own community that does that, but we can't do all that without resourcing."

Well then 'Snowball' - maybe you should attend a University Lecture of Honors only elitists to waffle over the age old discussion of "Is being an anally retentive epistomological penetrator really like talking shy.te?". While enjoying nibblys and swapping prostitute numbers between yourselves.

No offence. But I would rather be a Faraday and write my stuff out on a Beer Coaster or food wrappers.
