trumps lying is very interesting.

he is a bullshitter and there is a nuanced difference between that and lying.

for example.

say you had a bartender who was really smooth and he got all the ladies and everyone knew he was a player.
say he is dating 10 girls at once and everyone knows it.
say he tells them all during love making "youre the only one for me girl, i love you girl".

now that guy is clearly a bullshitter and he is telling (technically ) 100's of lies.
but the girls still like him.
they know they are being lied to but they forgive him because

thats how trumps bullshitting is seen by the trump fans.


now lets take another example.

say an upright pillar of society who presents a very upright persona is sleeping with his wifes sister behind her back.
and lets say the subject never comes up.
his wife never asks and he never says.

technically, this upright man has every right to say

i have not lied.  i have not once uttered a lie from my mouth.


now, who is really doing the wrong thing here.

Billie Jo, the bullshitter who tells 100's of lies but is a barrell of fun and source of positive energy that everyone wants to be around because he is fun.

or Oliver, the upright chode who is a total opportunist and fraud and betrayer of those most dear to him but technically always utters the truth.

i know who i prefer and i think i know who the american public prefer.
