I wonder why all Christians aren't condemned when a Christian breaks the law?

I wonder why all Hindus aren't condemned when a Hindu breaks the law?

I wonder why all Buddhists aren't condemned when a Buddhist breaks the law?

I wonder why all the Zoroastrians aren't condemned when a Zoroastrian breaks the law?

Gee, only Muslims are told they are responsible for the actions of all Muslims continually.  I wonder why?  Could it be Islamophobia?  Nah!  Of course not, no one here suffers from Islamophobia, now do they?

None of those religions are totalitarian, militant ideologies.

Don't know much about history, do you, Auggie?

Christians in Spain, the New World, Africa, Asia were a "totalitarian, militant ideology".  Millions of people died when Spain conquered the New World, millions died when Portugal/Holland/Britain/France/Germany conquered Africa and Asia.   Nothing Islam does is new under the sun.   It has all been done before, by Judiasm/Christianity/Islam/Hinduism/Buddhism/etc.   Virtually all religions are to some extent at least, evangelical and imperial.   Roll Eyes

Quote:
Of course, everything can be used for good or bad, Brian. The question is what does the ideology teach?

The ideology teaches what the students want to learn, Auggie.  Jews/Christians/Hindus/Buddhists/etc. all believed they were "saved" and they wanted to share that with other people, by force if necessary.   Christianity has learnt to hide it's bloody past, it seems.  Funny that, hey?   Roll Eyes

You wonder because you are a bloody idiot, Bwian.

Hindus, Buddhists, Zoroastrians  - and Christians and Jews and the rest - are not breaking the law BECAUSE their religion is contrary to the law. Muslims, on the other hand, break the law because they do not accept it, they put Islamic sharia  law above the law. And Islam and sharia tells them to scourge the infidels wherever you find them.

I am sure you have failed or perhaps never understood the Islamic instruction contained in   Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:1 and Surah An-Nahl 16:91, right, Soren?

Get back to us when you've read them, OK?

Quote:
That's why they Allahu Akhbar when they stab a cafe owner who comes to their aid. That's why the Allahu Akhbar when they shoot a police accountant in the back, drive trucks into crowds of people who gave them asylum, rape and murder for Allah.  Muslims commit these crimes for Islam. They call it jihad, fighting in Allah's way. They are acting very Islamically. They call it their culture, their values, their way of life.

As those two quotes prove, those are not true Muslims.  Anyway Hassan Khalif Shire Ali was a substance abusing, mentally unstable man.   Amazing how reality trips you up, yet again, in your Islamophobia, hey, Soren?  Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

What "new threat", Hammer?

Is it something you just discovered under your bed?

We have had a threat of Islamist Terrorism in Australia now since the 1960s.   Of course, it's first targets were Israelis and we know you don't like Jews, so they didn't count, right?   Run along, Hammer, crawl back under your bed covers.  You can hide there as long as you like.   Roll Eyes

Terrorists need to be buried in the desert by the army.

That's what Saddam would do.

We'd have no terrorist problems if Saddam was in charge.

His car had gas cylinders in the boot Agnes. He set it alight to blow up a building. Read the news.

People like Greggy & Brian live in a thought bubble of democratic freedom
and democracy where even terrorists have rights.
They don't -
they are enemy combatants in a time of war.
It's a war on terror.

The law is simple - in a time of war,
traitors, spies and enemy infiltrators caught behind enemy lines i.e our streets
should be put up against a wall and shot by law - no trial.
The law in times of war allows for that.

Instead we have limp wristed apologists &
politicians with no balls who sit around making new laws
and caring about human rights.

ISIS didn't make any headway in Iraq when Saddam was in charge did they?
It was only after he was hanged that they took over.

Why blame his religion, Hammer?

He was known to be a substance abusing, mentally unstable individual.

The Authorities looked at him and dismissed him.

Yet, ASIO and the other intelligence/policing authorities get a free watch from you in favour of attacking an entire religious group which is made up overwhelmingly of law abiding, peaceful people?

Oh, dearie, dearie, me.  No, you don't suffer from Islamophobia, do you, Hammer?  No, not at all.  Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

When people stop trying to commit mass killings in the name of Islam I'll have a better opinion of Islam. It's a natural response to a problem. If Buddhists in Australia were doing this s hit I'd have the same opinion of Buddhism. I concern myself with relevant issues Brian. I don't sweep them under the rug and out of mind like you do because you are afraid of insulting Mohammod down the street.

I suspect it will simply cause the muslim community to descend into open civil war, as neighbour is pitted against neighbour in witch hunts to save their own hides.

If Muslim neighbour is pitted against Muslim neighbour because they cannot reconcile their sharia adherence with living in a Western democracy, let them at it. A far, far  better option than allowing them to continue targeting non-Muslims.

Muslims need to sort themselves out and if murdering each other is the only way they know how to sort things out among themselves  (historically, that seems to be the case) then that's what needs to happen. There is no reason to keep non-Muslims in their cross-hairs just because Muslims could kill each other if they can't continue killing us.

I meant they'll do it because they are terrified at the thought of being deported.

My point was that it would be quite counter-productive from a counterterrorism point of view - the authorities will be swamped with false leads - while the real terrorists slip through the cracks.
