None of those religions are totalitarian, militant ideologies.

Of course, everything can be used for good or bad, Brian. The question is what does the ideology teach?

You would think it absurd if someone claimed that Nazism was a peaceful ideology. What if I came out here and said: "Verily verily, I believe that Adolf Hitler was a Prophet of God, send by Him to conquer and change the world." You and I then get into a spout about how evil Nazism is, and then I use clever mental acrobatics to defend the Holocaust or its atrocities, or say things like: "Hitler was innocent; he had no choice, the Great Satan, the Soviet Union was going to turn on him; he was engaging in pre-emptive warfare..." That's what apologists for Muhammad say: that he was engaging in pre-emptive warfare.

Hindus, Buddhists, Zoroastrians - and Christians and Jews and the rest - are not breaking the law BECAUSE their religion is contrary to the law. Muslims, on the other hand, break the law because they do not accept it, they put Islamic sharia law above the law. And Islam and sharia tells them to scourge the infidels wherever you find them.

That's why they Allahu Akhbar when they stab a cafe owner who comes to their aid. That's why the Allahu Akhbar when they shoot a police accountant in the back, drive trucks into crowds of people who gave them asylum, rape and murder for Allah. Muslims commit these crimes for Islam. They call it jihad, fighting in Allah's way. They are acting very Islamically. They call it their culture, their values, their way of life.
