The Second Amendment is the Cornerstone the American Founding Fathers built upon, for it enables Americans to protect, defend, & guarantee all their Rights from the scourges of potential tyrannical government. The US Constitution was devised & written by the American People, to control & limit government.....it restricts government, & protects the Rights of the People.

The US Bill of Rights, the First 10 Amendments to the US Constitution, does not limit the Rights of People in any way, actually it does the exact opposite. It clearly defines strict limits on government, whereby protecting & guaranteeing the People's Rights, as well as Freedom from authoritarian governmental control, as experienced by many of those ruled by Monarchical Systems of government.

PS...........How many gun deaths America has each year, as compared with any other country or countries, means very little, if anything at all, when compared to the Peoples Rights to their Freedom & Liberty.

American's will never use or allow those false comparisons to authorize any government the ability to limit or remove any of the People's Rights to the Freedom & Liberty they enjoy as Americans.

FACT: It fluctuates as all statistics occasionally do, but in 2017, & so far in 2018 it s lower than it was in 2014-2016, when it was slightly up.....quite possibly when the President made his remarks. Irregardless, over the past 20+ years, amid the few fluctuations along the way, the trend is way down....close to 50% lower overall.

Neither.........The President wasn't lying, & was probably correct when he made his statement.....if he made it recently, it wouldn't necessarily mean he is lying, he would just be incorrect based on present day statistics.
