Most 'conservatives' - Sunak, ScoMo, May, Truss, Johnson - have been gutless. They want to be loved by people who will always hate them.

That's why Trump is different. And Le Pen, Wilders and the rest.

Hmm...Bannon is smarter than I thought he was.

But there are enough inconsistencies in the first 15 minutes for me to bail out at that point.

1. Bannon says "Radical Left want open borders"; actually, Bernie Sanders (a socialist, like me) said: in our broken world, we need strong borders to avoid being overwhelmed in our own countries.

2. Bannon says we need semi-authoritarian government (like Singapore); and I agree and would extend the concept to include China - though of course  he sees China as not Western civilization and therefore must be destroyed.

3. Bannon even derides neo liberalism and neocons, and condemns globalization, yet America grew rich when the world was buying Chevys and Fords before the rise of Asia.

4. I smiled when he said (excusing himself) we need a populist nationalist revolution ....shades of national socialism?

Too many contradictions; the one good thing that might come out of  a Trump  presidency is exposure of the debt delusion: Trump knows the much-hyped  US debt is immaterial so long as the country remains productive.

So, Bannon and I both loathe the mainstream establishment, and I'd like to see the UK , France and Germany fall to the anti-immigrant  populist Right  ( anti-immigration is the main issue for the populist Right).

But I want globalization which engenders economic prosperty in ALL nations just not Western civilization countries; we have very differenet views of the world; "America First" is a non-starter for 6 billion people.

Even a first aid course will tell you to look after yourself first, you can't help others unless you do.

I think what you really want, much like Sad Kangaroo, is a StarTrek world. Don't hold your breath waiting for the Vulcans to fly by whilst we test our first warp drive.
