Quote:On September 30, 1980 at 1am, 54 year old farmhand George Blackwell awoke to the sound of his disturbed cattle on his farm in Kilmany, in regional Victoria, some 200km east of Melbourne
Mr. Blackwell became aware of a strange whistling noise in addition to the sound of the cattle. He could also hear his horse, which sounded like it was running around in a panic.
Mr. Blackwell went out to investigate, where he witnessed something odd. A domed object, some 3-5 metres in height and 8-9 metres in diameter, with a white top and blue and orange lights, was hovering about 2-3 metres off the ground and approximately 150-200 metres from the house
Mr. Blackwell witnessed a tube like protrusion from beneath the craft leading into the water tank as it hovered above it
Interestingly, Mr. Blackwell was not the only witness to a UFO on the morning of September 30, 1980. A nearby resident of Kilmany, Kelly Postle, reported seeing a pink ball of fire moving across the sky to the west at about 12.15am that same morning; a mere 45 minutes before Mr. Blackwell's encounter. In addition, a truck driver who had been driving from Traralgon to Rosedale had reported being followed by an aircraft that same morning
Aftermath
Mr. Blackwell suffered crippling headaches
His watch when worn would not work, although it worked if he removed it from his arm
The tank had been full prior to the incident. After the incident the tank was drained dry
Ring of browned grass near where incident occurred
Cattle would not approach the burned ring of grass

LINK Pink ball of fire? Meteor for sure.
Followed by an aircraft? Probably an aircraft.
From a file I found
Still stunned, he managed to ride back to the house where he saw the time was 0150hrs by the bedroom clock. He had a cup of coffee. It was then that he noticed his 6-7 year old, water resistant, stainless steel Taiwanese spring wound Timex watch had stopped at 0110hrs. He took it off his wrist and placed it on the table. After a few minutes it started again. However, when he put it on his arm it stopped again within 10 minutes. This sequence of stopping on arm, and going on table, happened on and off over the next three days, then the watch returned to normal. The witness commented that the watch had been reliable before and had been since.
Thus this is impossible to determine whether or not its true. In terms of the water disappearing, I can't at the moment comment aabout it, any comment about what caused it is an argument from incredulity.
