Abbott and Dutton are advocating for the latter, just like they did with the NBN.

I would have hoped people would have woken up to their BS by now, but clearly, there are still people who are so partisan and entrenched in their views that the only thing that will change their mind is death.

Which is a shame. Humanity needs to improve, not hope that those holding us back expire.

Abort wants to go back to using oil lanterns and steam locomotives. Abort has got it all worked out. We should all vote for him Cheesy

There lies a key point Lee. Exactly how are any politicians, State or federal going to lower prices? Many of the power generators are in private hands, wholesale power prices themselves fluctuate wildly as the day progresses, and many generation facilities are old and run down and in need of millions of dollars for maintenance. All that will happen is that the generators will just shutup shop and invest elsewhere.

In the end, the Government will either offer taxpayer's money under the table to keep the generators on board and give the impression that they have lowered prices, or there will be subsidies for certain demographics of the public,

Neither major party can do anything to lower prices whilst foreign entities control supply and distribution
