The act of USA Politics was a 'unification' of may separate independent States that at one time fractured in half, before becoming whole again.
Australia - which was already 'one unified' nation is destined to separate into many different 'independent' nations. But One Nationalisation has taken Australia backwards again culturally. It is the 'Americanisation' of Australia that is doing this.
This is not our true Political Future.
One Nation only reacted to the political excesses of the major parties. It was inevitable they'd spring up and receive votes just as the Greens and other minor parties would receive votes
It's not "One Nationalisation" as you described it, it's a party that wants a much less divided community and much less foreign involvement. There's two hundred flags flown in Australia, two hundred cultures, and two hundred ways for the Govt to throw money at them
Now, you say that Australia is "destined to separate into many different 'independent' nations" - are you looking into a crystal ball? If you ask the Labor Party, they will tell you that they would like to abolish the existing States. I doubt they would approve of many different "independent" nations. But in a sense, I agree somewhat, different ethnic groups may indeed form their own little "nations" in the fullness of time, just like Switzerland
The Australians Aboriginals had many different nations, so there must be something in it
Australian States can't be compared to the States in America because each of those States are Republics. Australians States are colonies of the Crown. It's difficult to say what will happen to our States if and when Australia becomes a Republic
