Pauline, you keep lyin' when you oughta be truthin'
You keep losing when you oughta not bet
You keep samin' when you oughta be a'changin'

She got what 40 m up ?

She said she couldn't continue because her boots were too old.

True story.

Wasn't she walking up the path on steps?

Her boots aren't made for walkin'

That's not what they do

So none of these days her boots are gonna walk on Uluru

Are you ready, boots?

Stop walkin'

Pauline, you keep playing where you shouldn't be playing
And you keep thinking that you'll never get burnt, hah
Well, I've just found me a brand new box of matches, yeah

The abos will soon be whinging when people stop going there. People aren't going to go all the way out there to see a big rock from a distance. Then the abos will overturn their initial decision. The whole outcome is so predictable.

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Not at all. Just reality. Nobody ever made more money from a tourist venture by cutting the main attraction.

No argument from me on that.

They already know there will be a reduction in visitor numbers when the ban comes in. Some of the  local abos are even starting to chirp up. All those Frank and Bessy's  from Boston will toss it up when planning their Australian adventure and decide to go somewhere else. All that expensive accommodation right down to fake didgeridoos will take a hit. It will then all filter down to the abos who will have to take a pay cut.

Visitor numbers are up, while the number of people climbing the rock is down.

87% of visitors don't climb the rock.

"A spokesman for Parks Australia said 87% of visitors now choose not to climb Uluru, although there had been an increase in the number of visitors. In the last financial year there were 395,338 visitors to the park, up 20% on the previous financial year."

The main attraction surely would be to see the rock, not necessarily climb it.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)
