Would you like me to start now, greg?
Mohammed Atta and 18 of his goons boarded 4 different planes and crashed them into various locations on the eastern side (including New York and Washington) of the United States.
The reason why they did so was because of the fact that they did not like the conditions of standards that they lived in the Middle Eastern countries. They had family, friends, and co-workers working in some affiliation to the oil industry in the Middle East. As the United States were fighting wars and proxy wars in the Middle East, the workers of the oil industries were squeezed for production value per man, whilst the industrialist were doing quite okay. When oil prices were high, oil industrialists did well. The workers did poorly. When oil prices were low, oil industrialists did okay. The workers did poorly. Imagine, if you would, the vexations coming from living a below average standard of living to the point that choosing to suicide bomb yourself in revenge against the country you deem to be the culprit of your poor standard of living.
Ergo, Atta and friends entered planes, after years of training for hostage taking and flight school training, with the intention of taking out the Pentagon, the World Trade Centres, and the Capitol Building, in the hope that this would disrupt the United States military in campaigning against the Middle East. Or, these guys were recruited by Osama bin Laden. OBL having the hope that a terrorist attack against the USA would result in the USA mobilising to bring the fight to Osama's backyard. In a way, that did happen, with bin Laden getting killed in a raid.
And, if you want to know Osama bin Laden's motivation, in 1982, OBL was quoted as saying how sick of seeing Muslim homes and buildings being destroyed. Osama said that he wished to see his enemies' buildings topple, too. The war he referenced was the Israeli-Lebanon War of 1982. A frickin' border dispute. Amazingly, the United States still recruited bin Laden as an informant in the United States proxy war against the USSR.
And we could go on with topics about the serial killers throughout history being interviewed by various criminologists. But then, I could cite you people like John Douglas and Mark Olshaker for you to do your own research on what these people thought were the reason why serial killers did what they did. Perhaps you are going to accuse them of being apologists, too?
