The weird thing is, I have spoken to people before (back in my more naive years) about the idea of having new houses built with solar panels. No one seemed all that interested in having that feature as standard for new houses. Perhaps there is some deal going with the power companies to leave it to the new home owners to decide if they want solar panels or not. Seriously, if I had the option of having solar panels on my roof in a new home, I would want to have solar panels and pay them off in my mortgage.

I will put it another way. If you were DUMB enough to buy a million dollar home, you would want to get solar panels attached to help power the 4 airconditioners you have throughout your home.

I would not suggest that even millionaires would not go through the banks to buy a million dollar home. Multimillionaires would probably do bank transfers for a million dollar home. And they would be careful about what they attach to their homes to help power it.
