WRONG ... they are banned from CLIMBING Uluru

How is this any less idiotic than saying people are not banned from a pool, they just can't swim in it?

still persisting with that dumb analogy. Uluru is nothing like going to a pool. A pool serves one purpose. Uluru doesn't. The majority of people do NOT go to ULURU to climb it.

If your analogy was pissing in the pool you'd be more correct.

Yeah - but those who go there to climb it go there to climb it - I mean some only go to the pool to watch the young sheilas or some the young blokes.... or just to supervise their offspring or whatever...

allow climbing at the Opera house and people will go there to climb it to. Does that make the opera house operators racist?

I am not saying the rock has only one purpose. I am saying people will be banned from Uluru on racist and sexist grounds. And you claiming this to be incorrect, on the basis that they can take photos, is no less idiotic than saying people are not banned from a pool, they just can't swim in it. If I said they were banned from the gift shop or the national park, you would have a point, but you don't. I am saying they will be banned from Uluru, which is entirely accurate. Your excuses that they can still buy trinkets or go on alternative aboriginal-approved walks near the base does not change the fact that they are still banned from the rock.

It really is that simple John. Not sure why you still struggle with the concept.

And your analogy with climbing buildings is equally idiotic. Uluru is a a natural formation and wanting to climb it is entirely natural. It is so natural that the aborigines themselves want to do it.

It is a similar level of idiocy John. People are still banned from the rock, despite being permitted in the gift shop. The gift shop and Uluru are not the same, understand?

People can't be banned because it's illegal unless the government modifies the 99 year lease that the aborigines agreed to.

John, unfortunately it is not possible to measure the idiocy of your claim against someone saying you aren't banned from a pool, you just can't swim in it. So it is no surprise you retreat there. But it is clear that you are wrong. The gift shop is not Uluru. Being permitted in the gift shop is not the same as being permitted on Uluru. People are banned from Uluru. It is that simple and your excuses are idiotic, and wrong.

Oh, FD, give it up. No one's banned from Ularu because no one's banned from Ularu.

True, since you cannot measure something that isn't there.

however it is possible to measure the idiocy of your claim

Uluru had over 270 000 visitors last year, of those 220 000 did not climb the rock.

Are you claiming they were banned from Uluru?  Cause I'm going to bet that each and every one of them will call you a nutter if you do so.

The ban starts in 2019 John. Do try to keep up.
