Now that really is a load of cr@p Phyllis....

If its ok for a baker to refuse to bake a cake for someone based on their beliefs why is it not ok to terminate a contract based on your beliefs....If a pastor can withdraw his services because he opposes the opinions of his client why cant a business sack someone who for the same thing???

Because you go to a baker and a priest to get food and get married, respectively. They are optional services. When you are an employee or contractor you have signed mutually agreed terms and conditions of employment, which are legal.

Bullshit....It is against the law in Australia right now under the discrimination act to refuse service to anyone based on their sexual orientation....Churches and religious groups want exemptions so they are treated differently from other Australians who are not free to discriminate....It is you who want to change the laws and be treated special!!!

There are even laws protecting peoples religious beliefs....Wanting the right to discriminate against the gay community is disgusting, petty and typical of the right!!!

It shoudn't be. I'm not obliged to provide you with a service. BTW, if the person refuses service to gay person, that's a stupid business decision. They'll just go somewhere else.

No, Grappler, a person who offers a service has no right, duty or obligation to offer his/her services to a person.

Capitalism is colour-blind; it doesn't care what your race is. If you have money and can afford to purchase the good, then the business owner doesn't care.

I'll tell the manager that the next time I'm kicked out of a pub because my ex is there with her new bloke....

The business owner can choose..... an arms dealer doesn't have to sell to IS....
