Yes - Agnes is a good mod.

fungus is a terrible mod.

she last banned me because I don't like cats. What the fkk sort of moderator is that? She's got fur balls for brains.

Smithy,
It was a thread about beautiful animals -
we were posting pictures of lovely pets
& you deliberately tried to ruin it
by posting a picture of 5 dead cats hanging from a rope.

You got what you deserved & the Tavern is a better place for it.

the only beautiful cat is a dead one.

I missed that picture as I never go into the old hags Tavern, can you put it up again please!  Smiley

Thanks, reminded me of that bloke that created some sort of wild life sanctuary in SA (I think) with fences to keep out feral cats etc.

He wore a hat made out of a feral cats skin.

I have absolutely no compunction about deleting any post on the Books board that is inappropriate or doesn't relate to the subject.
I've only had to do it a couple of times.

Yet Aussie has allowed it in his forum &
totally ignores the simple set of rules in my opening post.

Is this a fair summary of Moderator duties?

Moderator duties:

If the tone of a forum becomes hostile or starts to move in the direction of personal attacks, the forum moderator usually has the discretion to lock the discussion to prevent heated, interchanges. He may also be able to hide discussions he deems unworthy of further discussion. Conversely, topics he feels deserve further examination can be posted indefinitely by the moderator even if they garner no comments.

It is the responsibility of a moderator to maintain order during discussions and to see to it that all participants behave with courtesy. Forums involve the exchange of ideas whereby participants air their views and sometimes engage in debates about the identified topics. Therefore, there is a possibility of the discussion becoming unruly particularly where the forum topic is controversial. Moderators order the forum by keeping the discussion civil and constructive. They share the rules of the forum, which may prohibit abusive language, derogatory comments and such other offensive behavior.

Well - has Aussie met the high standards set above?

I've been very fair on the environment forum -
I've encouraged all sides of every debate.

I never banned anyone.

I only ever suspended Monk for 48 hours - which is over -
a very lenient sentence considering what he's done.

This is still up:

And you think I denigrate you?

I have never been asked by freediver to abide by those Rules, Bobby.  Have you?

If they were the Rules enforced at OzPol, the place would become Play School.

Maybe that would suit you.  You'd be at Home.

OK so you're saying that it's not a fair summary of Moderator duties.

Well that's obvious from the way you run your sub forum.
