Ill give Lee this. He has his argument style down to a fine art. The key is never try and prove or push any explanation for anything. just pick at minutiae in others work, endlessly. you just give up after a while.

Very very carefully chosen to not see that.

Actually, Cpl Lees, orderly room clerk, showed proof of that, talking about uncertainty about which was the hottest year. 1998 was only 5% likely to be the hottest year.

So is NOAA lying about 1997 being 62.45ºF or not?

IF they are not lying about 62.45ºF, then you have yet to show any hotter years.

IF they are lying about 197 and 62.45ºF, why should we trust them?

So what is the range in 5-5%?

Now if 62.45ºF only makes it about 5% uncertainty, how certain are they that 2016's 58.69ºF is the "hottest year EVAH"? It must be a higher uncertainty. Wink

I see NASA say they are more than 95% confident on 2016 being warmer. How odd a lowering of temperature can increase confidence against a warmer temperature. Grin
