I did think that dogs are therapeutic. I know that when adopted a month after their birth, it is make or break time for whether or not the dog is going to be disciplined. My parents adopted a dog last year. Thought it would become a good dog and learn instructions. Dad is too happy to really notice, but the dog is too stupid to know any better. I was going to say that the dog needed a year to get to understand things and how things work. But the dog seems to be too dumb to know what is what, even at a young age. I bet the dog will have another 6 to 8 months with my parents, and then it might become a pet for my sister and her husband. I can't understand why my parents would get a dog that would grow up to become so big. They have already hinted that the next dog (which I guess will come at the release of their current dog) will be a small dog.

In the morning if I put shorts on my dog gets excited and  sits near the door. If I put on work pants he sulks and hides under the bed

Did you ever get that doggy to stop stop smooching you Dusty ?

He sneaks in for a quick pash whenever I'm dozing on the couch.

LOL  Grin Grin Grin

I wonder if I'm doing anything to lead him on.

Only you would know what that was dusty !

Yes - Ball Teariers are good value.... they love me..... once at the motor mechanic's his dog, Yarra, had her regular 'visitor' - another Bull Terrier from another industrial site - and I had both of them with their heads between my knees telling me they were the best of the two .... weren't they?  Straight to me.... they must know something....

A few weeks back I went out to the track to run sprints. Even though there are THREE SIGNS on the gate that clearly indicate that dogs are not permitted, I often see dried dog schitt ... but had never seen a dog or owner. Well, one Sunday recently there was a guy who had three expensive looking dogs on the grass that surrounds the track. I had to say something to the loser so I did. When I told him dogs aren't allowed he just looked at me and said sarcastically, "I know."

Then that should be like all others, "some" not all. Not all dog owners are arseholes, just as not all dogs are bad. I personally consider cat owners far more inconsiderate and they blame it on not being able to control cats. Well don't own the smacking things then. Put the things down if you cannot control them. I've put a few of them down for them, also a dog that decided to rip the sheep across the road up where we used to live. Bang(violence solving problems).

You seriously find that funny?  Undecided
Look at some of the intellect on here and tell me you would not rather have a good conversation with your hound.

Oh I much prefer to communicate with my dogs than many clods on here.
One in particular is very vocal in her opinions. Smiley

Dogs aren't stupid. Humans are stupid.
Some people are too stupid to care for their dogs properly, and shouldn't have one.  Just like millions of people are too stupid to care for their children and shouldn't have them.
