Good Samaritan with gun kills murderer

The good Samaritan had a concealed carry permit he shot the offender, he didn't get into any trouble for doing that.

It doesn't happen in Australia because people are not allowed a permit to carry a firearm.
We have very few firearms on our streets.
The USA has 300 million firearms.

My late Aunt lived in Florida in the USA for many years.

She always kept a pistol beside here bed while she slept.
One night a man broke into her place & walked into her bedroom.
She turned her table lamp on & pointed the gun at the man.
She told him to get out or be shot.
He promptly left out the door.
The gun probably saved her life or at least a robbery.

Its also a cultural thing, if we had gun ownership on the scale they do in the US we would have open warfare on every street corner, Australians are in comparison violent people compared to the US. And we certainly do not want a specific 3 percent of the population having access to firearms, that would be a disaster.
