I retract my decision not to comment on Trump

Yes I guess you would call it the 'turn around of the Century' but I cannot help but make a comment on Trump's decision to sack F.B.I. Chief James Comey

I mean if Donald Trump went from calling James Comey as a brilliant leader of the F.B.I. to the position he now holds which is that Comey is a 'grandstander and a showboater' then I can change position according to what is current and relevant

It couldn't be could it...that Comey was zeroing in on the investigation on allegation of Russian interference in the Presidential election?

I admit to having been a first class supporter of Donald Trump. I did and I still believe that Trump has brought many brilliant ideas to the table

I do believe that Trump can and is turning America on its head. Something it sorely needed

However Donald Trump's enormous liability is his brazen lack of loyalty to anyone who in the slightest manner states a different point of view to 'the Donald'

This is exactly the thing that got Julius Caesar assassinated. The parallels are incredible. Caesar was great..Caesar had vision but Caesar loved the Genie of power above all and in the end it was that unquenchable lust for power that brought about his downfall

The alarm bells started ringing loud and clear with his unbelievable lack of manners when hosting Germany's Angela Merkel in her visit with him. I have rarely seen such rudeness and ignorance displayed to a visiting world leader

However..my main concerns were at home and how Trump treated Malcolm Turnbull like an idiot in 'that phone call' when Trump derided the agreement Australia had made with Obama regarding refugees

This was followed by the masterstroke when Trump insulted Australia by treating Turnbull to a full 'half an hour' audience with him during the Battle of the Coral Sea celebrations

All I can say is God help us if ever we really need America's help again because I strongly believe Trump would dump us like a dose of food poisoning unless it really suited America to give that support

He has shown that he is loyal to no one but himself and is capable of doing a complete reversal of position on a 'whim'

I almost fell off my chair when I read that he stated he would 'be honoured' to meet Jong Un of North Korea. Bloody hell the day before he was, lambasting him

The BIG PROBLEM with Donald Trump is that he is about as trustworthy as a rattlesnake

I deeply regret having to say those words but a President's actions define who they are. Donald Trump is proving to be the most untrustworthy President in U.S. History

He has the ability but unfortunately he is a deeply flawed human being

I congratulate Red or having courage to say it has he sees it..he is not behaving like the rest of the Trump supporters /lemmings in here, following a man who has no sense of decency or loyalty to Australia after the alliance we have had with the US over many decades- our men died in US led wars-and he is quite right, Trump has no decency or loyalty-

If you still support Trump after that scathing disregard he has shown to our country, then these supporters are traitors to Australia..and they should be kicked out of Australia forwith. ( if only)

Trump can be intimidated easily by Kim Jong sending him a scary video depicting war heads descending on the white house. . Jesus Christ, how cowardly stupid and patheic is Trump.. Kim Jong says BOO..and this is all it took to have Trump sucking out of Kim Jongs ass and shiitting his diaper.. I also believe Trump would desert us in any miltary attack that came our way,,because to date he has shown no loyalty or decency to toward anyone or thing...I have no doubt he is mentally ill, sacking Comey was a very very dumb move..if there was any doubt at all that he was up to his armpits in rigging the election and colluding with the russians, there isnt now!

While not wanting to piss on your road-to-Damascus parade, but the US position regarding its obligations to Australia were set in concrete by General MacArthur during WW2.

After Curtin was encouraged by the General to get off his knees thanking the US, MacArthur bluntly told him that thanks weren't necessary as the only reason the US was defending Australia was because it was in the US national interests to do so.

Since our abandonment by Britain during WW2, we have always imagined that the US would defend us as if we were the 51st state... It just ain't true.

Said before, said again... Unfortunately for Australia, Trump only has eyes for dictators... From Putin to el Sisi, to Erdogan, Duterte and Kim Jong-un, Trump has a passion for them all.

Australia, in the mind of someone so inclined, is weakened by our 'slavish' respect for US-birthed democratic ideals.

But, above all, we are, to Trump, small and insignificant... And its all he can do to repress his inclination to disabuse us of our collective delusion of being 'family' and 'highly regarded' by the US.
