Well, tell you want, you tell yourself you are a clever person and I will continue to think of you as a pathetic wanker.

Well you've even got that arse about....  some mod you'd make, all this continuous flaming just because you are wrong.

Let me know when you get back on topic, you are boring me with your stupid denial in the face of evidence to the contrary. Cheesy

You are boring me with this crap where you think you corrected me. This is why about everybody here and on PA thinks you are a colossal bore and wanker!

If I say climate bands in the US are moving northward or I say climate bands in the US are moving polewards then I am saying the same thing. In Australia climate bands are moving south which is also polewards.

Temperatures
Daytime temperatures during July were above to very much above average over almost all of mainland Australia. The mean maximum temperature for Australia as a whole was clearly the highest on record for July, at 2.62 °C above average, 0.66 °C above the previous record set in 1975.

OOH. How scary. Using data from 112 stations to infer Australia's average temperature. Only about 68,600 sq KM between stations. IF they were equidistant. Greater than 250km square grid. Yep, temperatures will be the same all through that grid. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Those are the temperatures. ACORN-SAT is known to be a good dataset.

Yes, the temperatures are higher than they used to be. In ten years time they will be higher still.

Those are the facts.

Who said I believe Al Gore?

I quote scientists, experiments made and the results.

You don’t even see the sense of what somebody said, just because he said “weather” instead of climate—but he paints a clear word picture (he is a journo) of how things have changed, how climate bands are creeping north.

Oh dear... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Do you have an actual point, roach? You think you can refute how climate bands have moved north?

hasn't moved where I live not 1 degree.
North or South.

How about you post some proof instead of just your opinion. Cheesy  because we all know how credible and reliable that is. Roll Eyes

LOL told you, you said NORTH.

I said
oh dear
and followed it up with...
North or South...
must have been way too subtle for you eh. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Those are the ADJUSTED temperatures. Known to be a"good" dataset by whom? In what way is it "good"?
Is adjusted "data" data?

Ah. Appeal to Authority.
Don't read about the adjustments. Just "it's reliable, safe". They tell us the same things about condoms.

What was it that the enquiry found?

"The Forum noted that the extent to which the development of the ACORN-SAT dataset from the raw data could be automated was likely to be limited, and that the process might better be described as a supervised process in which the roles of metadata and other information required some level of expertise and operator intervention. "

"however, the Forum concluded that it is likely to remain the case that several choices within the adjustment process remain a matter of expert judgment and appropriate disciplinary knowledge. "

http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/change/acorn-sat/documents/2015_TAF_report.pdf

So requires expert intervention. Requires expert judgment. Nothing to say the process be replicable.

If it ain't replicable it ain't science.

So meteorologists do the adjustments.

And adjustments are needed, aren’t they? I mean, who keeps wanking on and on and on about UHI effect?

Poor Lees, so desperate to avoid accepting AGW is heating the globe.

Until he can’t deny it anymore when it is the governments’ fault for not acting sooner and more decisively, right Lees?

You are such a dickhead. The temperature is the reading - is the data. Guesses MAY be made for UHI effect. Of course finding significant UHI in a rural environment, would be an exercise in futility.

You would need to make notes of the assumed UHI but it can't be part of the temperature record.
