If we DID get a GSM: temperatures would drop by 0.3–0.6°C. No Ice Age.

Yes Monk been hotter and colder just recently eh.
Emissions keep going up but the natural temperature variation keeps on keeping on.

Haven't got any data for 2017 yet? Only natural El Nino data. How sad. Wink

Although that "data" show Jan- Jun 2016. Grin Grin Grin

"The June 2016 combined average temperature over global land and ocean surfaces was 0.90°C (1.62°F) above the 20th century average,"

https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/201606

"The June temperature across global land and ocean surfaces was 1.48°F above the 20th century average of 59.9°F."

https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/news/global-climate-201706

So a drop of 0.14F on 2016. And they trumpeted a mindblowing 0.04F increase for 2016 over 2015.

"besting the previous record set in 2015 by 0.02°C (0.04°F)."

Natural variation is irrelevant in this discussion really.
People keep trying to drag it in as a form of denial no doubt, but this is about HUMAN impacts.

You don't know anything about the natural variation Grendel, any more than I do. We haven't been around that long.

We DO know however, that things aren't right, here in this best of all possible worlds, and we are currently just beginning the scramble up the slippery slope of filth we have caused.

Exactly. So how come AGW is supposedly definitely human caused?
