“Alarmists”  Grin  Actually “alarmist” suits you better, you get alarmed every time AGW gets confirmed.  Grin Grin Grin

Well lets see...  there is no concensus.  AGW has not been confirmed.  No truthful reliable media messages globally that any such things have occurred.

A bit of publicity is useful sometimes.

Actually, interesting article. But making a prediction or forecast is a risky thing to do.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
but you quote and support people that predict what it will be like, 100 years from now  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Can you find ONE instance?

I'll tell you what.
You post just one quote that I've been asking you to for ages now, and I'll waste my time and post proof that is exactly what you do.  Regularly. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Who said I believe Al Gore?

I quote scientists, experiments made and the results.

You don’t even see the sense of what somebody said, just because he said “weather” instead of climate—but he paints a clear word picture (he is a journo) of how things have changed, how climate bands are creeping north.

Oh dear... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Do you have an actual point, roach? You think you can refute how climate bands have moved north?

hasn't moved where I live not 1 degree.  North or South.
How about you post some proof instead of just your opinion. Cheesy  because we all know how credible and reliable that is. Roll Eyes

In Adelaide there have certainly been changes.

Drier, milder winters.

In summer we now get hot and humid weather, sometimes rain, for a longer period than we used to.

Two pretty obvious differences.

I am doing what I can to educate people about AGW. Getting a lot of static covering up my posts by those desperate not to see what is happening.

Yeah, next summer could be really hot but think about this: say 2018 is an El Nino year, what will the summer be like then?

While the sun will be going into a solar minimum, when it come out of it it may go into an active state, bumping temps even higher.

Jovial,
Now - you're making a bit of sense -
you do realise that we're at the start of a grand solar minimum?

It's gunna get damn cold before it warms up again.

I'll tell you what is amusing Monk.
Your dogged denial.
Your inability to consider the facts and reality.
That is amusing.
Climate does not occur in nice Earth circumferencing homogenous climatic bands.
Many things affect climate and it is better to describe climate as zones.
Heat rises it does not head North.

We are not in a grand solar minimum, Booby, get that out of your head.

The sun will enter a normal minimum as it does every 11 years.

Some time the sun will move from its present quiet state to an active one, bumping temperatures up.

The Dubyne videos are hopeless rigmarole, junk science, lies, cherry picking and exaggeration. You know the ice is retreating and temperatures warming and that is happening with the sun in its quiet stage.

There are lots of those. I will stick with NASA.

If we DID get a GSM: temperatures would drop by 0.3–0.6°C. No Ice Age.

Booby nagged me to watch this video about the history of the LIA. In that video the fact of the much higher CO2 in the atmosphere was mentioned. Booby must have forgotten that.

Remember some of the things that video suggested may have caused the LIA, Booby?

1. MWP melted so much Arctic/Greenland/Antarctic ice the big ocean currents were disrupted

2. Lots more volcanic activity to cool the earth.

3. Forgot what cause 3 was  Smiley

The Maunder Minimum dropped temperatures a bit more.

ATM: the Gulf stream is fine and there has not been the huge vulcanism to cool the earth so if we got a MM not much difference would be felt.

Dubyne knows that vulcanism was thought to be one of the causes of the last LIA and he is trying to talk up volcanic activity but the volcanoes are not obliging, obviously:

Yes there are lots of those.
Your problem is you don't read them
Your problem is you fail to notice facts and yes from scientists and experts and yes even some from NASA.

Mind you anything overseen by Hansen need to be treated with utmost suspicion.
