Mal's vision for Australia is an export led thriving Capitalist economy, a lot like Trump's vision for the USA.

But Mal is slowed down by the wonky self interest of the Senate oddities.

Mal has managed to convince these sluggards of quite a few things but it is difficult to convince self interested dullards there for the money to vote for things needed to restore Australia.
