Anyone with half a brain would see that the behaviour of the perpertrator was highly irratic, and irrational. And definitely does not bear the hall mark of calculated terrorist attack. Even, the Martin Place shooter have more organization and purpose than this.

What I see, is a guy high on drugs, probably ice - high. Bashed a man on Wednesday, thinking he is going to jail. Probably had a disagreable with his brother on bail, stabbed him. And then thought oh what the hell, I am going to jail anyway. Had more drugs and then kidnapped a woman and went on a driving rampage.

Regardless I am thinking what sort of major charges he would be facing. Of course, it would be good if its x4 murder changes. And x25 reckless driving causing injury.

However, can we prove that these are murder? If he is high on drugs, his defence would be judgement impaired due to drug induced psychosis / mental impairment. If he did have some sort of delusional disorder, then the intent to kill would not be able to be proved.

So, he will probably serve x4 charges of reckless driving causing death. Which bears 10 year penalty maximum if served concurrently. May be 5 years for reckless causing injury, serve concurrently but cumatively over the death charge. He could well be given just 15 years, and out in about 10 years with good behavior. And that would make him... late 30s? early 40s when he gets out?

He'll probably be found dead in his cell, while on remand.
