Mothra, are you concerned about a school with a Saudi Wahhabi curriculum forcing a morality based dress code on young girls?

Yes. I'm not convinced it's happening though.

What age would you think it's appropriate?

I don't think girls should ever be forced to wear the hijab.

50% of a swiming outfit? Why don't boys wear bikini tops too then?

Are they swimminig in 50% less of a swimming outfit?

Anyway, all kids should be in rashies.

you really are a goose. u claim to be a mother and yet... you behave like you either arent or are a terrible one.

Why? Because i don't like sexualised swimming costumes for little girls?

I'd say that makes me a pretty great mum.

a crop top for little girls is not 'sexualising' and it is ironic since you actually claim you prefer them TOPLESS.

Its one thing to be complaining about lingerie for 8yos. it is another to be complaining about bikinis and crop tops.

If they are not in rashies, there is no need for a bikini top.

nobody can convince you of anything.  You believe. You react. You respond. but you never learn anything. Your positions on any topic could be replicated by a computer program because you are unteachable and sadly, quite ignorant.

I'll give Ruby the benefit of the doubt.

Ruby's take is that making such young girls wear hijab normalizes ultra conservatism. Love to hear your thoughts on that.

My default position for ABC journos is to give them the benefit of the doubt on facts, regardless if I agree with their opinion.

I'm really surprised you're not critical of an ultra conservative Saudi funded school.

Are you so desperate to win an argument that you have to put words in my mouth?

I've already said i don't think any girl should be forced to wear the hijab, irrespective of age.

As for the school being funded by the Saudis, well, that;s still in question, isn't it.

As Ruby said, young girls are being forced to wear a hijab to normalise what was once considered an ultra conservative practice.

We'll put you down as a supporter of the ultra conservatives.

Good on you.
