A group of digital protesters is reportedly plotting to “take down” the White House website on Inauguration Day to protest to swearing in of President-elect Donald Trump.

Last week, the global news distribution service PR Newswire sent out notification of a campaign by Protester.io, a platform for digital protest organizers, to “occupy” and “take down” WhiteHouse.gov in an effort to “defend and revive our democracy.” The campaign is targeted at individuals who want to protest Trump but are unable to travel to Washington, D.C. for the inauguration ceremony.

“On January 20th, hundreds of thousands of Americans are going to Washington, DC to march in protest of the inauguration of Donald Trump. Millions more around the country will be joining the cause from home. If you can’t make it to Washington DC on Inauguration Day, you can still participate by occupying whitehouse.gov online,” the statement read.

According to the protest group’s website, the campaign is called “Occupy WhiteHouse.gov,” a name that recalls the wave of largely meaningless “Occupy Wall Street” drum circles that starting forming in New York and elsewhere in 2011.

The group is urging protesters to “occupy” the White House website by visiting the page and clicking refresh as often as possible in hopes of overwhelming the server and crashing the site. “When enough people occupy www.WhiteHouse.gov the site will go down. Please join us and stand up against this demagogue who is threatening our democracy and our security,” the protest page explains.

PR Newswire originally circulated the release under the headline, “Protester.io Launches Campaign to Take Down WhiteHouse.gov on Inauguration Day,” but eventually removed the release and sent out a modified version under the a different headline: “Protester.io Launches Campaign to Voice Your Opinion at WhiteHouse.gov on Inauguration Day.”

The University of Washington-Bothell and nearby Cascadia College have set up a new program to provide “social justice” training for its librarians. Attending librarians and other staff will learn to learn how to check their privilege, interrupt microaggressions, and learn how to apologize when called out. The program, administered by the library Equity, Diversity and Social Justice Team stretches across six workshops.

In one of the workshops, based on the modern feminist concept of “intersectionality,” staff explore differences in gender, race, and class, and recognize the “everyday power dynamics” that shape their interactions with others. The idea behind “intersectionality” is that no single social category can be understood in isolation to another.

There is also a workshop dedicated to the concept of privilege. In this one, staff must become intimate with the personal lives and history of their colleagues and determine how their privilege plays a part in all of it. They are expected to explore the lives of fellow staff, library users, and where they fit into the “larger structures of society.”

Staff who undergo training in the “Interrupting” workshop will learn how to properly apologize to anyone they may accidentally offend. The workshop offers a document online replete with examples of “good” apologies and “bad” ones.

Another class teaches staff about microaggressions — inoffensive actions and words that are neither overt nor intentional but may have the potential to offend. For example, asking someone about their “exotic” accent is a microaggression, because it makes the person feel like an outsider. The term “exotic,” too, is a microaggression due to the term’s historical connotations in regards to race.


A final class exists to teach staff how to interrupt microaggressions in progress, training them to identify potential offenses and “interrupt oppressive situations.” In other words, librarians are expected to police their colleagues and others in the library.

During the library training, attendees are provided with a list of scenarios to play out— one of which describes a female employee requesting help from a male employee when she realizes he’s being condescending. Another asks employees to deal with a student who reports that an individual “of Middle Eastern descent” has left a suspicious bag and departed the building.

Participants are expected to guide their responses through an intersectional lens, recognizing the privilege of players in the scenario, the presence of microaggressions, and what staff need to do to interrupt them. The training leads one to worry about how the staff’s preoccupation with microaggressions and social justice could prevent them from reporting a serious crime, much less a terrorist attack.

The University says that the workshops are not mandatory, but more than one of the worksheets describes the diversity program as “all staff.”

PRESIDENT Barack Obama has commuted the sentence of former US military intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning, the White House says.

The outgoing US President shortened sentences for 209 inmates including Manning.

Manning who is serving 35 years in prison for passing classified files to WikiLeaks, last November asked the Obama administration to commute her sentence to time already served.

Her sentence is now set to expire May 17.

She was known as Bradley Manning at the time of her 2010 arrest and attempted suicide twice last year.

Obama is also pardoning 64 people, including retired Gen. James Cartwright, who was charged with making false statements during a probe into disclosure of classified information.

New York City is a sanctuary city. There are at least 750,000 illegal immigrants in the city.

The New Yorkers were also upset with the Trump ban on immigrants from terrorist countries.
The protesters called it an “emergency protest” in support of Muslims and illegal immigrants.

A Black Lives Matter activist, who also claims to be a pre-school teacher, gave a fiery speech at an anti-Trump rally in Seattle. “We need to start killing people,” she said to a smattering of applause. “First off, we need to start killing the White House. The White House must die.”

The unidentified woman also had choice words to say about white people and reparations.

“White people, give your smacking money, your smacking house, your smacking property, give it smacking all,” she said during Sunday’s protest. “You need to reparate[sic] black and indigenous people right now.”

A kindergarten teacher didn't like the fact that the girls chose to play with dolls and the boys with Leggo.First she tried attracting the girls to the Leggo by supplying different colours.
When this didn't work it was time to get nasty.
The boys were prevented from playing with them and the girls were forced to.

She even lied to the boys that they would get a turn later when she had no intention of allowing it.

Hard work getting the girls to be boys and enforcing "gender equity".

Meh.  I probably wouldn't bother complaining about it, but I wouldn't be happy about my kids teachers pushing political messages and acting like unhinged nice people. 

I think that'd be a pretty widely held sentiment, so it's pretty hard to justify being mad at someone complaining about crappy, unprofessional behaviour.

Maybe she can get her job back, just as soon as the victims of the lefts numerous witchhunts get theirs back.

Colleges are institutions of learning, not centers for indoctrination. But some schools are making “social justice” classes mandatory for students who want to acquire their degrees and diplomas.

A student in one such program at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst has given a long interview detailing what actually happens in the classroom day to day—revealing some of the exercises that students are put through and the “facts” that are pushed on them.

The premise of “Education 115: Embracing Diversity” at UMass- Amherst is that the U.S. is a nation of racism and bigotry. In the class, students were told to act out examples of racism to prove America is racist “from A to Z,” recognize the existence of “white privilege,” the dominion of men over women, and come up with ways to fight these societal ills.
The class taught students terms like “privilege,” “internalized classism,” and “cultural imperialism,” and asked students what they could do to end classism on campus.

Students were further instructed to create a mock campaign to make the university more inviting to a hypothetical low-income black lesbian majoring in engineering. Meanwhile, a “Man Box” assignment taught students the dangers of asserting masculine values.

The student told The College Fixp that the professor, Benita Barnes, taught students that the United States was a nation overrun by sexism and racism, and that she believed the university was an extension of the country’s problems. “There were no real discussions,” he said. “There [were] no debates or anything like that. It was just these are the facts and that was it.”
The student said that the professor was often combative with students who questioned her or disagreed with what she was saying.

The College Fix published a couple of course assignments given to students, including the one instructing students to come up with a campaign to make the school more welcoming to the hypothetical minority enrollee. In that “case study,” the hypothetical black lesbian faces racism from her roommate and must deal with a “male-centric” engineering department with a sexist bias against female students.

It’s not the first time the college has been in the spotlight for the way social justice battles are playing out on campus. Last year, trans-activists staged a “poo in” protest by camping out in bathroom stalls in administration buildings.
