No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

Colleges are institutions of learning, not centers for indoctrination. But some schools are making “social justice” classes mandatory for students who want to acquire their degrees and diplomas.

A student in one such program at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst has given a long interview detailing what actually happens in the classroom day to day—revealing some of the exercises that students are put through and the “facts” that are pushed on them.

The premise of “Education 115: Embracing Diversity” at UMass- Amherst is that the U.S. is a nation of racism and bigotry. In the class, students were told to act out examples of racism to prove America is racist “from A to Z,” recognize the existence of “white privilege,” the dominion of men over women, and come up with ways to fight these societal ills.
The class taught students terms like “privilege,” “internalized classism,” and “cultural imperialism,” and asked students what they could do to end classism on campus.

Students were further instructed to create a mock campaign to make the university more inviting to a hypothetical low-income black lesbian majoring in engineering. Meanwhile, a “Man Box” assignment taught students the dangers of asserting masculine values.

The student told The College Fixp that the professor, Benita Barnes, taught students that the United States was a nation overrun by sexism and racism, and that she believed the university was an extension of the country’s problems. “There were no real discussions,” he said. “There [were] no debates or anything like that. It was just these are the facts and that was it.”
The student said that the professor was often combative with students who questioned her or disagreed with what she was saying.

The College Fix published a couple of course assignments given to students, including the one instructing students to come up with a campaign to make the school more welcoming to the hypothetical minority enrollee. In that “case study,” the hypothetical black lesbian faces racism from her roommate and must deal with a “male-centric” engineering department with a sexist bias against female students.

It’s not the first time the college has been in the spotlight for the way social justice battles are playing out on campus. Last year, trans-activists staged a “poo in” protest by camping out in bathroom stalls in administration buildings.

Shapely singer/songwriter Joy Villa wore a tight dress emblazoned with Make America Great Again at the Grammy Awards.
And aren't the LW pussycat crazies going off their meagre collection of brain cells.

Threats to kill are prominent among their intelligent criticisms.

Trump could always start his OWN university...

oh yeah... he did. And it failed. And was corrupt.

I find it adds a bit of continuity when, after you quote something, you actually address the subject matter of what you quoted.
How about you longy?
But then if it's all a bit too hard to do that you can just throw in a non sequitur. Won't lead anywhere, won't make any real criticism of what you felt the need to quote . . .but maybe it will make you feel you've achieved something.

Is that it longy? Something achieved there?

If both of your parents are white, chances are that you were born white. And that’s bad. Have you expressed the proper amount of regret about it yet? If not, now you can. Now you must.

Students at Elizabethtown [PA] College this month are wearing white pins in the shape of puzzle pieces to remind them of their white privilege…

“Discussions about race are often perceived as being only open to people of color, but I think it is just as important for white people to partake in conversations about race,” Aileen Ida, president of the College Democrats, told The College Fix via email…

“No matter how accepting someone is, that doesn’t stop them from being part of a system based on centuries of inequality,” she said…

Wearing a puzzle piece to show awareness of your “white privilege” is perfect, because I’m always puzzled when I’m expected to feel guilty about things I can’t control. Y’know, like the color of my skin, or bad stuff that people with similar skin tones did before I was born. But if wearing a stupid pin will make you shut up and leave me alone, it almost seems worth it.

Students at the prestigious University of Chicago say that free speech should not apply equally to everyone. The students objected to the school’s Institute of Politics’ invitation to former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. They claim that allowing him to speak “normalizes bigotry” and provides a platform for fascism.

Lewandowski did not join the White House staff but by many accounts remains an influential advisor to the president.

The coalition of students from U of C Resists, Graduate Students United, Students Working Against Prisons, and UChicago Socialists claim that the school’s “commitment to free expression” doesn’t require the institution to host him due to his alleged ties to white supremacists and similarly alleged calls to violence against minority groups and refugees.

They told Campus Reform that they did not call for the University to disinvite him, but rather “encouraged [the person who invited him] to reconsider and rescind the invitation,” as if it makes a difference.

In an open letter to the school, the authors state that Lewandowski courted right-wing extremist groups. They also referred to his alleged “assault” of a woman Breitbart journalist during the campaign, among other things.

“Lewandowski is not the first Trump surrogate to be invited to the Institute of Politics. Last month, Sean Spicer, Trump’s Press Secretary and Director of Communications, spoke in the same series,” it states. “By hosting figures like Spicer and Lewandowski the Institute of Politics suggests that the ideas and ideologies they represent are debatable positions within the range of normal politics.”
Free speech, it claims, should not extend to Trump surrogates.
“It sends a positive signal to white supremacists that they are welcome here,” the students declare. “This exposes the most vulnerable members of our community to even greater risk. That is unacceptable.”

In addition to the letter, the student coalition set up a “Bigotry is not Normal” event to protest Lewandowski, in which over a hundred students claimed to have participated on Wednesday. Students set up protest fliers with statements like “This is not dialogue it’s a war.” [sic]

Speaking to The Chicagoist, IoP Executive Director Steve Edwards says that he respects the students’ right to protest but believes it’s necessary to invite guests who can provide insight into Trump’s campaign, adding that ““people are free to contest, criticize, and protest views expressed on campus so long as they do not obstruct or interfere with the freedom of others to express their views.”

[But we've known for years that this desire to suppress opinions has been gathering traction among the Left.
It's pleasing to see that on this occasion the uni told them to stick it rather than turn tail and run for the safe room, as many others have]

The University  of Washington has decreed that correct grammar is "racist" and should be abandoned.

I guess it's all too hard for the oppressed people to learn how to write and speak properly. It takes up too much time that could be better employed smoking dope or setting fire to cars.

Well these donkeys have abandoned every other notion of civilised norms and behaviour, so why not this.

Welcome to the Age of the Microaggression.

Ashley Judd - actor (?) and activist.

What a silly woman. A suitable case for treatment.

"Trump's victory was worse than being raped"

I'm sure there are any number of those animals Trump is trying to keep out who would happily show her how wrong she is.
