how does he put it all/everyone back together again? I don't believe he can. It is a dangerous thing to incite hatred, will we see a backlash?
America was severely divided before he came along. He showed how bad it is. Most western governments around the world have been pushing a policy of massive division (multiculturalism) for decades.
How true!
Trump stated that Americans had a right to vet those entering the country and that was spun by the press as him being racist.
Similarly Australia had Pauline Hanson who stood up against multiculturalism and was howled down - actually jailed.
Wouldn't you say the US has had a theme of multiculturalism at least for nearly 150 years?
What does 'e pluribus unum' mean to you?
Or "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door"
It could be argued that multiculturalism is as sound a cornerstone of America's political philosophy as its Constiution.
As a Jew, surely you would, more deeply than most, appreciate the 'righteousness' of this... Particularly when thinking of those desperate European Jews in the late 1930's when Roosevelt (to his eternal discredit) turned away from this cornerstone and refused entry to so many of them, ultimately abandoning them to their fate under Hitler.
