They have no issue killing western children, in fact they have no problem killing Muslim children either.

It's not often I agree with Biggie but this fluffing about is not achieving anything militarily or in the "Hearts & Minds" department.

Either pull out, pay them for their oil & let them do whatever they wish to the poor unfortunates born within their borders, OR bomb the crap out of them, full carpet bombing of whole regions 500K soldiers on the ground going house to house shooting anything that looks the wrong way.

Install an interim government but be prepared to stay in the area for upward of 20 years.

Or invest the billions the above will cost into developing alternate fuels & storage & stop paying & caring about the M.E

In a total war, nobody wins.  Every body loses.

Suggesting return of capital punishment is easy.  But who will do it?  Will any of you kill a man just because its legally to do so?

It does not deter criminals.

It is open to the killing of innocent people.

Whether state sanctioned or committed by an individual, murder is murder.

It's not about levels Greg.

You don't win if you're dead, you can't even make a difference.

Pull out or get busy winning.

The sorry excuse for combatting "ISIL/Terrorism"at the moment, ie "Training" locals, paying warlords to be defacto generals etc etc has to stop.

Get serious, be prepared for 1000's of body bags to come home & win

Or get out!!!!!!!!!!!!

The region is so vast, the plains are so remote, that even the greats like Alexander the Great, the holy roman empire x2, and even the ottomans could not have done such.  You reckon USA can do this?  With the debt clock ticking minute by minute, there is just no political drive nor the moral reserve to do all of these things.   To do so, would lead to bankruptcy of US, and possibly Australia as well if we are foolish enough to follow.   So your plan is just a fantasy.

Yet they ALWAYS find the money.

Don't worry I know this plan will never happen, the US & other western governments are happy for the status quo to remain, a scared population is an easily controlled population.

But we do have a possible President Trump in the wings so never say never. Wink

I have no issue with what you say except that staying away from the ME - and Africa - isn't going to stop the problem spreading like a virus around the world.

I have no problem with the death penalty for those who are guilty beyond doubt and commit horrendous crimes....The problem is always with the legislation and those who are innocent or mentally incapacitated being caught in the rush for retribution!!!

Huh Huh Huh

Bullsh1t!

WWII was the last great war using the Total War doctrine, the winners and loser were easily identified and guess what the losers recovered with a massive attitude adjustment.

Fluffing around, like socialists and a homo conventions will ensure that this bullsh1t goes on for ever. They do not negotiate, they do not see reason, they understand death; so why no give it to them.

Killing one or two is a waste of time and energy, you have to kill sh1t loads to have any effect.

They do it for the perceived & real injustices they see inflicted on their people & country.

We aren't there, they won't care.

Or are you one of the nutters that think this is a religious war?

Many people would consider the premeditated, state-sanctioned killing of prisoners a horrendous crime.

I don't believe in capital punishment,  not because of some airy fairy notion of sanctity of life  if someone harmed my family I would end their life with my bare hands. I just don't trust a Govt to hold that power
